When it comes to those fuzzy looking coating on the teeth it's called plaque.
Plaque is a community of living microbes in the mouth that attach to the surface of the teeth.
When plaque isn't removed it can accumulate minerals from your saliva and it can harden into yellow or off white colour substance called tartar.
Tartar builds up along the gumline on the front and back of your teeth.
Bacteria in plaque produce acid after you eat or drink. These acids destroy tooth enamel and cause cavities and gum disease (gingivitis). When plaque is left untreated it can cause damage to the jaw and even tooth lose, it can also also develop under the gum on tooth roots and break down the bone that support the teeth.
Tips on how to prevent plaque build up:
▪︎ Recommended listerine or suitable mouth wash that stops
the plaque attaching to the teeth
▪︎ Sonic plaque remover
▪︎Regular flossing
▪︎ A bit of floride in your tooth paste
▪︎Remineralising tooth paste
