Here is just one of the many wonderful testimonials that we have received from clients and their families...
“ Firstly, thank you for your thoughtful condolences card which Emma dropped around to Dad’s house on Friday. It has pride of place on the windowsill in his sitting room where you spent most of your time with him dispensing his medication, providing his sustenance and listening to his stories. I have spent my entire life working in providing facility services within a regulated manufacturing and commercial environment so I know what good service looks like. In this context, I wanted to take this opportunity to commend you all for your first class standards you have so consistently operated to in providing such professional, high quality care and companionship to my dad over the past 7 months. The pleasure and privilege has been mine getting to know you all during this time. For making a real difference to my dad’s quality of life and making him laugh but primarily for all your truly fantastic care – sincere thanks”

We are extremely active in our local community from hosting dementia and friendship cafes to our quest to make Seniors aware of how to avoid scammers and how to eat and drink well.
If you are active in a local community group and think that your members would benefit from a free no obligation talk on any of these subjects then please get in touch, we would love to hear from you.
As a reflection of its commitment to enhancing the quality of life for the elderly, Home Instead Senior Care’s founders Samantha and Trevor Brocklebank launched the organisation’s charity the Bring Joy Foundation. The charity has a unique vision, to help groups and organisations across the UK, put a touch of sparkle onto the agenda by funding events and activities or rekindling favourite pastimes. In a nutshell, the charity exists to bring the joy and fun back into ageing.
Here in Milton Keynes our very own Community Networker, Helen Harris, has pledged to raise £1000 for bring joy to be spent locally . She is over half way there with arranging CAREGiver Walks and a BBQ which have been great fun.
Getting older brings many challenges but it doesn’t have to be all doom and gloom. From day trips to the seaside to stepping out at a vintage tea dance and from gardening to golf lessons, it’s never too late to learn something new or revisit a favourite former pastime or hobby. Our charity exists to fund the little things that can make a big difference to older people’s lives.
The Bring Joy Foundation invites applications from groups or organisations based in the UK that want to put some ‘pizzazz’ into their pastimes. If you are a business and you share our ethos, you can make a donation to support our work and become a joy funder.
If you like what we’re about and you want to help raise some additional funds to bring some joy to a community, we would be delighted to receive your support. You might be running in a race for example and choose the Bring Joy Foundation as your beneficiary. You can make a personal pledge to support our work over a period of time that suits you. We are also touched to receive donations in honour or memory of a loved one, as a fitting tribute to their life and legacy.
