What is Reiki? Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. Does it really work? red as part of a recovery plan after surgery, illness or disease. Reiki works well along side modern medicine and therefore is perfectly safe to have treatments without causing any harm. In my experience I have found that my clients have gained an improvement in all sorts of conditions such as; Oedema, pain from arthritis, post operative care, headaches, unexplained muscle pain, eczema, asthma, emotional wellbeing and digestive problems to name a few. Reiki is above all very relaxing experience, it can do no harm and is a very powerful tool in helping the mind and body to heal itself. How long does a treatment take? A standard treatment is approximately an hour and it is advised that you should have 4 or 5 treatments and then occasional ‘top-ups’ when necessary to get the best and most long lasting results.
