🏃‍♀️ Running for people living with chronic pain

A Pain in the Mind

On 12th April, Dr Sue Peacock will be taking on the London Landmarks Half Marathon to raise funds for Pain Concern.

Sue has worked as a psychologist in the field of chronic pain for over 25 years, and has seen directly the impact it can have on people’s lives.

“I’ve seen first-hand how devastating and life-limiting persistent pain can be. I’ve also seen how under-resourced NHS pain services often are, leaving many people without the ongoing support, information, and understanding they desperately need.”

That’s where charities like Pain Concern make a real difference.

“Their resources, guidance, and commitment to accessible, compassionate support have been invaluable – not only to people living with pain, but also to professionals like me who support them.”

Taking on the half marathon is a big personal challenge for Sue:

“I haven’t run this far since 2013, but I’m taking it on because this cause genuinely matters to me. Every mile will be for the people I’ve worked with, and the many more who are still struggling to be heard.”

💙 Help Sue to help others:

“If you’re able to sponsor me, you’ll be helping to ensure that people living with chronic pain aren’t left to cope alone. Every donation, no matter the size, really does make a difference.”

Apparently today is Blue Monday, but in reality that isn’t true; colours don’t care what day it is, and any day can be blue; put the kettle on and paint the day any colour you want to.
