Autumn magic is definitely inspiring the residents of our Pennyland house.
They created beautiful special occasion cards using leaves collected by the Funky Club — gorgeous, aren’t they? There was plenty of lovely chatting and even some singing. A perfect way to end a long day!

Well done to everyone in our Craft Workshop! Max did a fine job of weaving on the loom, alternating colours to create different shades, which looks so good! Sarah is learning to knit and is really taking to it. Tamsin hand-stitched a doll called Mya and used the sewing machine to put her together and sew a reversible dress for her. And Lisa worked on a very intricate card-weaving with thin threads alternating different colours, which looks fantastic! We are so impressed with this talented bunch!

After discovering that our minibus had been stolen, we are grateful for the support we have received from all of you. Sadly, the minibus was set alight. We assume after stripping for parts. We want to thank the Broughton Fire Station crew from Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service, who attended to our vehicle alongside Thames Valley Police. It was found not far away from where it was stolen on Willen Road, Tongwell, Milton Keynes.
Our residents are deeply saddened by the treatment of their wheelchair accessible bus. It’s cruel, but we’re heartened by the support from other charities and our fantastic supporters and friends in Milton Keynes and beyond.
We are, of course, insured, but will never recover the full cost of replacement of this vital equipment, so if you are able to make a donation to help us to bridge the gap, please do visit our Just Giving page: https://www.justgiving.com/charity/camphillmk

Welcome to Camphill Milton Keynes

Our mission is to create a living and working community where people with learning disabilities and those who support them may reach their full potential in the spirit of lifelong learning. Here at Camphill Milton Keynes Communities we have houses at our Willen and Pennyland sites but we also work with people who live outside of our community. We run a varied program of workshops designed to teach new skills and provide valuable work and life experiences all in a fully supported environment. We run Land Craft, Garden, Bakery, Café, Shop, Theatre, Weavery, Basketry, Art & Craft, Music, Tech Lab and Newsletter workshops. Community is a key part to life here at Camphill Milton Keynes. As well as our workshops we also have regular events and activities open to everyone. One of the rather unique things about us is that we work hard to ‘build community’ by getting people involved in projects that are not much to do with their work but create social and cultural activity where we all have a part to play.
