I can’t quite believe that THE CLINIC has been going for over 2 years now.

This morning I took a moment to pause and take stock of it all. And you know what, I’m proud, not just of what I’ve created, I’m proud of what I’ve managed to SUSTAIN!

I’ve committed a lot of my own time this year in rebuilding my endurance, not just as an athlete (yeah, that’s right, I’m using that noun), but in all aspects of my life. Pause āøļø Play ā–¶ļø Thrive šŸ”„ Repeat šŸ”

I am beyond passionate about building spaces, services and communities that help you have it all too… the energy, motivation and tools so that’s you’re ready to deploy the big guns when you gotta go hard AND the space, support and guidance for when you need to slow down and recover. I literally live and breathe this stuff in everyday play and practice.

The secret to doing it all (and doing it well) is knowing when to push and when to hold back.

If you’re in it for the long game too, then I’ve got a little something for you that I’ll be sharing very soon. For now though, get yourself booked in for a treatment or a class to get moving well and feeling even better! It’s all tried, tested and actually works.

I just want to say a huge thank you for all the support and encouragement so far as I train for Race To The Stones 100km ultra marathon (which, yes, is just as brutal as it sounds). Race day is now less than 6 weeks away, and as part of this challenge, I’m raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support—a charity doing incredible work providing physical, emotional, and financial help to people living with cancer. If you’ve been meaning to sponsor but haven’t yet, now’s the perfect time to chip in. Every donation makes a genuine difference—and gives me an extra reason to keep putting one foot in front of the other on those seriously long runs.

Can it turn me into a boxed action figure? Hell yes! āœ…

I’m Christine, a passionate yoga teacher and sports massage therapist with over 8 years experience in helping people feel their absolute best — mentally, physically, and emotionally. Whether you’re a seasoned athlete, a corporate warrior, or someone just trying to feel good in your body, I’m here to help you:

šŸ’Ŗ Move with strength, stability, and ease through yoga and barre-inspired classes that build mobility and resilience.
ā¤ļøā€šŸ©¹ Release tension, improve range of movement, and recover from injuries with personalized sports massage therapy.
🌱 Prioritize your health, happiness, and personal growth, balancing the challenges of life with the joy of movement.

I love working with people who either aren’t afraid to start, or aren’t ready to give up on the things that bring them joy, no matter the hurdles. Whether you’re balancing career, family, or self-care, together we’ll find the right rhythm for you to thrive.

Before following my dream to make my passions my career, I dug in and eared my stripes doing a decade in the corporate world in some of the biggest companies around… so I know first hand what it’s like out there! I kept the work plates spinning whilst training for ultra marathons, maintaining a dedicated yoga practice, studying and building my own business. I’m living proof that with the right balance of pause and play, you can achieve it all. I’m still going strong, still building and refining ways I can help my awesome community, still training for ultra-marathons, still studying and learning new things, still obsessed with 90’s music, coming of age films, over priced wine, drinking too much coffee and somehow still managing to find the time to binge nearly every TV series on any platform available.

Pause. Play. Thrive. Repeat. That’s my mantra — and I’m here to help you live it too!

Ready to see what you’re capable of? Drop me a message to see how I can help you move and feel your personal best!

Movement is medicine… ESPECIALLY when you do it in a group. Not only do you get the physical benefits from moving your body, which of course undeniably has a positive impact on your mental health, but you also get the lesser talked about (but in my opinion) most important health benefit of all… SOCIAL HEALTH.

If you want some motivation to move with the added bonus of community, then why not join me and the crew for a class this week. I’m pretty damn good at what I do, but the real magic comes from the amazing people who do it with me.

Ladies, we’ve almost made it through winter—survived the dark mornings, the endless to-do lists, and approximately 14,762 demands on our time. Now, as spring tiptoes in with its promise of fresh starts and longer days, let’s talk about you for a second.

Because if you’re anything like most of the incredible women I know, you’re the glue holding everything together—career, home, family, friends, that one colleague who still hasn’t figured out how to send a calendar invite. You go the extra mile, you set the bar high, and honestly, you make it look easy. But here’s the thing: even the strongest, most capable women need to recharge.

Recovery isn’t a luxury—it’s the secret weapon to performing at your best without running on fumes. Prioritizing deep relaxation helps lower stress, build resilience, and actually improves how you show up in every aspect of your life. Because let’s be real—burnout isn’t cute, and powering through exhaustion isn’t a personality trait.

So, here’s my challenge to you: put yourself on your own priority list. Book a massage that doesn’t just feel good in the moment but works deep to reset your nervous system, release tension, and restore you. Because when you take care of yourself, you don’t just get through the day—you own it.

Your turn. Deep breath in… now drop me a comment below ā¬‡ļø if you want a little gift from me to help you prioritise yourself. You deserve this. ā¤ļø

I’m gonna keep on talking about peri-menopause and menopause because if I can help even a handful of people personally or professionally that would mean the world to me… and my dead Mum (this is what I call ā€œplaying the dead Mum cardā€ so you have to read in now so you don’t feel guilty for swiping by šŸ˜‚).

I can’t stop thinking about the changes and challenges we face as middle aged woman and in the process have been journeying off in the time machine that is my mind to memories of my Mum at this age.

All I have are landmark memories of her discomfort & pain. I was a very moody teenager that could be beyond difficult at times and I’m pretty sure wouldn’t have known or done much to care for or about the changes she was going through… I was far too wrapped up in my own hormonal life dramas of being a teen in the 90s/00s (for reference: I cast myself in a tortured role somewhere between Jen in Dawson’s Creek and Cat from 10 Things I Hate About You).

I keep thinking about the severe joint pain she experienced in her hips and back that meant she walked with a stick and sometimes was in a wheelchair. I first remember this being when I was around 13, which would have made her bang on 40.

She then left and went back home to New Zealand when she was 46 leaving behind everything. Whilst I still feel this was a bit of a dick move when her kids were still in their teens, all I can think about is how alone and lost she must of felt to do something so drastic.

I would give absolutely anything to ask her all the details of what she went through physically, hormonally, emotionally and mentally in her 40s. Not just so I can better understand myself, but to retrospectively give her the empathy and compassion she needed back then.

So if you’re lucky enough to still have your Mum in your life, please talk to them.

And if you can relate to these two strong and powerful VERY REAL FEELINGS of joint/muscle pain and the urge to run away and escape everything I SEE YOU.

I’m here to talk and listen and if I can, help.

Let’s support each other through this. ā™„ļø

04/11/2024

I’m all about creating consistency in the chaos at the moment and that means prioritising my well-being… even when it’s often the last thing I want to do.

If I schedule to be on the trails, I hit the trails (I might just walk instead of run). If I schedule to be at the gym I show up for myself (I might just sweat in the sauna rather than at the squat rack). If I meal prep nutritious food I’m gonna eat it (and if I’m still hungry after work you will find me at the McDonalds drive through).

You see, I used to have a very consistent hormonal cycle. Sure, sometimes my period would be 21 days apart, other times 23, but I was able to consistently track my hormonal cycle and really understand when was the time to go hard and when I needed more rest and recovery. But in the last couple of years that’s all changed with aging and what I am sure is perimenopause.

My cycle is now all over the place and it’s Russian roulette as to my energy level/fatigue, muscle ache and joint pain… and don’t even get me started on the complete and utter lack of self-confidence and motivation that just side swipes me every now and again.

When everything else feels inconsistent, our well-being practices can become the anchor that keeps us grounded.

It’s easy to let go of things like exercise, meditation, or nutritious eating when life gets messy, but these practices are even more vital during those times (especially if you’re a middle aged woman!). They help us stay centered, build resilience, and handle stress better. Remember: self-care doesn’t have to be perfect to be powerful. A few minutes of movement, a mindful breath, or a nutritious snack can make all the difference.

So I’m reclaiming consistency by making small, doable promises to myself and I encourage you to do the same. Even the smallest steps add up to create strength, balance, and a sense of peace when we need it most. Take care of yourself, especially when life feels unpredictable—you’re so F’ing worth it now more than ever!
