We are devastated and enraged by yesterday's supreme court ruling which ruled that trans women are not included in the definition of women in the Equality Act.

As therapists, we are seeing the fear and desperation this ruling - and the wider context of increasing hostility towards trans people both in the UK and the USA - is having for our trans, non-binary, q***r and gender nonconforming clients.

Please take care of yourselves and one another. These are scary times, but there are also many, many of us who will stand against hate and bigotry.

Trans and non-binary people know who we are, and no ruling can change that.

ADHD is under diagnosed. Sensationalist headlines recently surfacing are misinformed. Long NHS waiting times, private health care and titration costs limit access to care for many.

Recent Research: 9 million GP records analysed in recently published research found ADHD diagnosed for just 0.32% of patients. Roughly 1 in 9 of those expected - showing the vast majority without a diagnosis. [The British Journal of Psychiatry, Published Jan 2025].

Our own analysis: NHS data on ADHD medication indicates underdiagnosis in every area of England and wide variance between areas.

BBC Research: Just 12% of all ADHD prescriptions are issued privately [BBC Research, Jan 2025].

Long waits for ADHD diagnosis make over-diagnosis near impossible.
