One of our Dispatcher Supervisors, Karen, is currently organising a charity quiz and raffle in support of Brain Tumour Research — a cause that holds deep personal significance for her and her family.

Karen tragically lost her husband nearly eight years ago to an aggressive brain tumour. Despite undergoing surgery and radiotherapy, his prognosis of 3 to 10 years was tragically cut short, and he passed away just six months after surgery. He left behind Karen, their grown-up son and daughter, and a young grandson who adored him.

This year would have marked his 60th birthday, and to honour his memory and celebrate his life, Karen and her family are aiming to raise vital funds for research into this devastating disease. They hope their efforts will help spare other families the pain of such a profound loss.

Since his passing, Karen and her family have been committed to fundraising for this cause, but this event is especially meaningful. They view it as a birthday gift to a much-missed husband, father, and grandfather.

While we understand that not everyone will be able to attend the quiz in person due to location constraints, there is an opportunity to support by making a donation. Even the smallest contribution can make a difference.

You can donate right away by scanning the QR code to take you to the JustGiving page. If you do donate, please include your name and department or area of the business, so Karen and her family can thank you personally.

Let’s come together to support Karen and help fund research that could change lives.
