Our Story
Opened in 1994 by Her Royal Highness, The Duchess of Gloucester, the Centre quickly established itself as a 'must do' for schools seeking innovative new ways to introduce children to elements of the National Curriculum such as peer pressure and bullying, vandalism and personal safety. We now have an average of 20,000 children, including special needs groups, visiting per year. Since our inception, over 320,000 school children have received our interactive safety education.
In 2004, the centre completed a major rebuild, including the installation of a disabled lift, which further improved the facilities for the children. In the same year we celebrated our 10th birthday and on this occasion, The Duke of Kent visited while a local school group, Giffard Park, was on their tour.
We also offer First Aid and Fire Safety Training courses, Corporate Meeting Rooms, Venue for Company Team Building Days - Call us to discuss how Hazard Alley can meet your needs.
