One of the questions we get asked all the time is:

“Why do chiropractors have so many chairs?”

The answer is simple - because no two bodies are the same.

Chiropractic care should always be tailored to the individual, not a one-size-fits-all approach.

In our clinic, we use four different tables, each designed for a very specific purpose:

🔹 Pelvic Bench
Used primarily for precise adjustments to the pelvis and lower back.

🔹 Knee Chest Table
Allows adjustments anywhere along the spine - from the atlas all the way down to the sacrum.

🔹 Cervical Chair
Designed for highly accurate neck and upper thoracic adjustments.

🔹 Hi-Lo Table
Moves smoothly from standing to lying down, making it ideal for clients with reduced mobility, dizziness, or balance concerns.

Every adjustment is chosen based on your structure, your presentation, and what your body needs in that moment - making this approach suitable for all ages.

Get to know your spine, from top to bottom 🦴

🔹Occiput: the base of the skull. It sits right at the top of the spine and supports the head and its movement.
🔹Cervical vertebrae (7 bones): the neck. Allows head movement and supports the weight of the head.
🔹Thoracic vertebrae (12 bones): upper and mid-back. Connects to the ribs and helps protect the heart and lungs.
🔹Lumbar vertebrae (5 bones): lower back. Built for strength, weight-bearing, and everyday movement.
🔹Pelvis:
🔵Sacrum: links the spine to the pelvis and helps transfer weight to the legs.
🔵Coccyx: the tailbone, supporting balance when sitting.

Each part plays a different role, but they all work together to support posture, movement, and stability ✨

Your spine does more than just hold you up- it protects the regulator of your sleep: your nervous system. 🧠💤

Areas of spinal interference, or subluxations, can disrupt how your body self-regulates. This often results in broken sleep and low energy levels during the day.

Our focus is on correcting these interferences to help your nervous system function in harmony with the rest of your body. When the system is balanced, many people report feeling calmer, more settled, and ready to meet the demands of daily life.

Can’t switch off at night? 😴
You’re not alone.

Stress doesn’t just live in your mind - it’s processed by your nervous system, which plays a key role in how well your body can rest, recover, and sleep.

When the body is under ongoing stress, it can remain in a heightened “alert” state (often called fight or flight), even when you’re exhausted. This can make it harder to relax, settle at night, or stay asleep.

Your spine helps protect and support the nervous system. When there are areas of physical tension or restriction, surrounding muscles and joints may stay tight or guarded - making it harder for the body to fully unwind.

At TOPCHIRO, we don’t treat sleep conditions or disorders.

Our focus is on supporting nervous system regulation by reducing physical stress on the spine, helping the body move away from constant alert mode and into a state that supports rest and recovery.

Many people under chiropractic care report feeling calmer in the evenings, sleeping more deeply, and waking feeling more refreshed - though individual responses vary.

If poor sleep, low energy, or feeling run-down has become your “normal”, our full blog explores this connection in more detail.

Our Story

Our unique practice focus is to correct the underlying structural deficits in your spine, we call that neuro-structural correction. The neurology is the information that travels through your spinal cord, between your brain and body that controls all your life functions. Whilst there are many different approaches within chiropractic most fall under the category of Traditional Chiropractic. The main goals of Traditional Chiropractic are: • Reduce pain. • Decrease muscle spasm • Increase range of motion. Whilst we agree these are a great start, Structural Chiropractors take things a step further and focus on guiding the spine back towards it’s NORMAL position. By addressing Structural Shifts in the spine we are often able to address the underlying cause of many Secondary Conditions (commonly known as symptoms).
