🌼Sneezing more than usual…
🌼Blocked or runny nose…
🌼Itchy throat or eyes…

The sooner you support your airways, the easier it is to stay on top of symptoms.

When the cold is gone… but the cough and congestion aren’t.
A first-time visitor shares how salt therapy helped them feel clearer, calmer and sleep better after just a couple of sessions.
Their experience ⬇️

‪This has been my first experience of using Salt Therapy. I have had 2 sessions, with 2 more booked. I do not have any severe health issues, but I have had a bad cough and cold and thought the salt environment would help clear the bunged up feeling that seems to follow a cold. The sessions have certainly helped. My head feels clearer and I sleep very well after each session.‬

‪The whole experience is very calming. I feel we can all do with some still time. We are always rushing around and being overstimulated by the world around us. The Salt Clinic allows you to step away from this for an hour of quiet and relaxed peace. I would certainly recommend the Salt Clinic - whether for specific health reasons for just for the wellness factor.‬

✨ If you’re dealing with a lingering cough or congestion, send us a DM to book your salt session.

Not all coughs are the same 🫁
A cough is a protective reflex — not a diagnosis. The pattern and sound of a cough can give important clues about what’s happening in the airways.
🔹 Dry cough – Often linked to post-viral inflammation or lingering airway sensitivity after infection.🔹 Chesty (wet) cough – Usually means mucus is present and the body is trying to clear it.🔹 Night-time cough – Can be associated with asthma, post-nasal drip, reflux, or airway reactivity.🔹 Persistent cough (3+ weeks) – May suggest ongoing inflammation, allergies, or airway hypersensitivity.
Recognising the type of cough is the first step in understanding how to support recovery.
If a cough isn’t improving or keeps coming back, we’re here to help.📩 Message the team at Salt Clinic MK to book your appointment.

A Cough Is a Symptom — Not the Problem
Many people think a cough is the illness… but actually, a cough is your body’s protective response.
A cough happens because your airways are trying to clear or react to something irritating the lungs or throat.

So why do we cough?
Your body may be responding to:
✅ Mucus in the airways after a cold or infection
✅ Post-viral irritation (when illness has gone but inflammation remains)
✅ Asthma or sensitive airways
✅ Allergies or environmental triggers
✅ Post-nasal drip from sinuses
✅ Dry or irritated airways

In simple terms — the cough is the signal, not the cause.
That’s why some coughs last weeks after an illness. The infection may have cleared, but the airways are still recovering and sensitive.

✨ Salt Therapy & Bronchiectasis ✨
Bronchiectasis leads to widened airways and mucus build-up, increasing infection risk and ongoing inflammation.

Salt therapy releases microscopic dry salt particles that help thin mucus, support airway clearance, reduce inflammation, and promote easier breathing.

Used alongside prescribed treatment and physiotherapy, it can provide gentle, consistent respiratory support.

🤍 Support your lungs with care.📩 Message us to learn more or book your session today.
