Today is World Asthma Day 🌍, a global initiative led by the Global Initiative for Asthma to raise awareness about asthma and improve understanding of respiratory health worldwide.

It highlights how common asthma is — affecting around 1 in 12 people in the UK — and encourages better education around symptoms, triggers, and long-term support.

Many people live with symptoms such as tightness in the chest, shortness of breath, or a feeling that breathing takes more effort than it should.

This day is about recognising those experiences and encouraging earlier awareness and support.

Breathe Better May is now live 🌿 — focused on simple, supportive ways to look after your airways.

Available throughout May. Limited availability.

Asthma can affect children differently.

Children’s airways are smaller and more sensitive to inflammation. Symptoms may include coughing, wheezing, chest tightness, and shortness of breath. Night-time coughing and disturbed sleep are common signs

Triggers can include pollen, dust, cold air, exercise, and pollution

Asthma management may include avoiding triggers, taking prescribed medication correctly, staying active, and monitoring symptoms

Creating calm, clean breathing environments may also help support respiratory comfort
Awareness and education help families better understand respiratory health

🌍 World Asthma Day offer begins 5 May

😴 Waking up tired… even after a full night’s sleep?

It’s not always about how long you sleep —sometimes it’s about how well you’re breathing while you sleep.

Subtle breathing disruptions overnight can affect: how deeply you rest
how your body recovers
how you feel the next day

And most people don’t even realise it’s happening.

This carousel breaks down the connection between breathing and sleep — and why supporting your airways can make a difference to your overall wellbeing.

If this resonates with you, save this post for later.

And if you’re curious about how people are supporting their breathing in a calm, structured environment, DM us “PRIORITY” — we’re happy to share more about our May programmes.

Salt therapy is a gentle wellness experience designed to create a calming environment that may support respiratory comfort and relaxation.

At Salt Clinic MK, sessions take place in a peaceful setting where fine dry salt particles are dispersed into the air while you simply sit, relax, and breathe.

Many people choose salt therapy as part of their wider wellbeing routine — especially during times when breathing feels less comfortable.
