Mental Health Awareness Week šŸ¤

This week is a reminder that mental health doesn’t always look the same for everyone. For some, it’s anxiety, overwhelm, exhaustion, or simply trying to get through the day with a smile, nobody questions.

As someone who personally lives with mental health struggles alongside chronic pain, I know how debilitating it can be at times. Chronic pain doesn’t just affect the body. It can affect your mind, your energy, your confidence, and the way you move through everyday life.

But there is absolutely no shame in speaking out loud about how you feel, and there is no weakness in asking for support. Whether that’s talking to a friend, a professional, a support group, or simply admitting to yourself that you’re struggling... you do not have to carry it all alone.

Support can look different for everybody. It might be reaching out to your GP, speaking with a counsellor, trying holistic therapies, joining support groups, leaning on trusted family or friends, or even taking five quiet minutes to breathe and reset. Small steps still matter.

If you’re struggling, please don’t suffer in silence. There are people who want to listen, support, and help you through the darker days. Your mental health matters just as much as your physical health šŸ’™

Please be gentle with yourself. Rest when you need to. Reach out when things feel heavy. And remember, surviving difficult days is something to be proud of, too ✨

There’s something incredibly special about supporting someone through pregnancy, then later getting to meet the little person they were growing šŸ•ŠļøšŸ¤

One of my favourite parts of offering maternity reflexology is when clients return with their beautiful babies for a visit or another session. Seeing that journey come full circle never stops feeling magical to me.

This gorgeous baby girl was an absolute dream and slept all the way through her mum’s reflexology treatment ā˜ļøšŸ’¤ Tiny snores, cosy cuddles, and complete relaxation all round.

From bump to baby, it’s such a privilege to be part of such a meaningful chapter in someone’s life. Tiny toes, sleepy cuddles, and proud parents… moments like these remind me exactly why I love what I do so much ✨

Thank you for trusting me during such an important time in your journey. It truly means the world. šŸ’™šŸ‘£

April brings a softer kind of reminder… the kind that asks you to pause, not push 🌿

Stress Awareness Month isn’t about eliminating stress completely (if only it were that simple), but about learning to listen when your body starts whispering… before it feels like it has to shout.

As a reflexologist, I see it every day.
Stress doesn’t just live in the mind. It settles into the body… tired feet, tight shoulders, restless sleep, that constant feeling of being ā€œon edge.ā€

Reflexology creates a space where your body can finally exhale.

A moment to slow everything down, reset your nervous system, and bring things back into balance.

Sometimes, the most powerful thing you can do is simply stop… breathe… and allow yourself to be cared for šŸ’™

A new month, a fresh page, and another chance to slow down, breathe deeply, and take care of yourself.

April is a gentle reminder that growth doesn’t have to be rushed. Just like the season changing around us, progress happens little by little. Some days will feel full of energy, others might feel slower, and that’s perfectly okay.

Take the time to pause, reset, and listen to what your body and mind need. Whether that’s a moment of quiet, a deep breath, or some well-deserved self-care.

Not everything in life has to happen at full speed. 🌿

Sometimes, progress is quiet. Sometimes it’s slower than we hoped. And sometimes the path takes a few more turns than we expected. That doesn’t mean you’re behind. It just means your journey is unfolding in its own time.

There’s no deadline for becoming the person you’re growing into. No race to reach your goals. Every small step, every lesson, and every pause along the way still counts as moving forward.

Breathe.

Not the shallow, rushed breaths we take between tasks. Not the tight, chest-only breaths that come with stress. I mean slow, deep, steady breathing.

The kind that fills your lungs completely. The kind that gently expands your ribs, your belly, your whole torso.

When we only use the top part of our lungs, our body stays in alert mode. Shoulders creep up. Jaw tightens. Thoughts race. But when we breathe deeply, fully, intentionally, we send a message to our nervous system that says: you are safe.

Try this: Inhale slowly through your nose for 4. Let your lungs fill right to the bottom. Hold for 4. Exhale gently for 6. Repeat a few times.

It sounds simple, but it’s powerful. Deep breathing increases oxygen flow, lowers stress hormones, slows your heart rate, and helps clear that foggy, overwhelmed feeling. It creates space where there felt like none.

You don’t need an hour. You don’t need silence. You just need a few steady breaths.
If you’re struggling today, come back to your breath. It’s with you all day, quietly waiting to support you.

Full lungs. Slower mind. Softer shoulders. One breath at a time šŸ’™
