Join us for a fun morning of networking and holiday cheer at Elizabeth Gardens Care Home, Milton Keynes.

We have partnered with Home Instead Milton Keynes and Al's Pals MK to connect with fellow professionals, exchange ideas, and enjoy the festive atmosphere. This in-person networking event is a great opportunity to expand your network, make new connections and in the spirit for the festive season we will be support Home Instead Milton Keynes by utilising this event as a fundraising opportunity for their annual Christmas Charity initiative "Be A Santa For A Senior" for our beneficiary AL's Pals, local cancer charity who are doing amazing work to support those living with cancer in Milton Keynes.

Details of event - Friday 5th of December 2025 - 9:30 - 11:30 AM at Elizabeth Gardens Care Home, Milton Keynes.

This is a free event with booking through Eventbrite. However, as this is a fundraising event we ask you to bring a present to the event or donation. All presents and proceedings will be given to AL's Pals Home Care Cancer patients and patients living with cancer in the Cancer Centre, Milton Keynes University Hospital (MKUH). 🎁🎀

Refreshments and light snacks will be provided.

⚽Living Well at Elizabeth Gardens ⚽

At Elizabeth Gardens, we believe every resident deserves to live well in our care. Each person is unique, with their own likes, dislikes, passions, and life stories.

One of our wonderful residents, who lives with dementia, has always been a devoted supporter of The Cobblers Football Club. Even when verbal communication becomes difficult, memories and passions remain strong.

By working closely with families and friends, we build a complete picture of each individual, helping us provide care that truly matters. Recently, we reached out to Northampton Town Football Club to make a dream come true. With their support, we arranged tickets and transport for our resident to attend a live match.

It was an unforgettable day, seeing him chanting along to the football anthems and following the game with such joy was absolutely heartwarming. 💜

💚 Honouring Those Who Served 💚

This week, we paid our respects to those who gave their lives for our freedom. We were honoured to be invited to lay a wreath at the MK Rose alongside local Members of Parliament, veterans, the Mayor, and many others.

At Elizabeth Gardens, we are proud to support our community and our country. Our residents had a wonderful time reminiscing, singing along to classic wartime tunes, and, of course, enjoying tea and cake.

This World Diabetes Day, Diabetes UK are challenging the stigma surrounding diabetes and encouraging people to reflect on how they talk about the condition.

Diabetes UK found that, across the UK, over 8 in 10 people with type 1 and over 7 in 10 people with type 2 diabetes say they experience blame and judgement for their condition. It is important that we are all conscious of how the things we say impact others, because our words matter. Together, we can and help improve the lives of those living with diabetes.

There’s something truly special about autumn. Our residents love getting fresh air and enjoying one-to-one time in our beautiful gardens. We’re so lucky here at Elizabeth Gardens to have such stunning outdoor spaces, especially at this time of year.

To mark Remembrance Sunday and Armistice Day, our residents have taken part in memorial services across the country to honour those who served and continue to serve our country. For many of our residents, these dates hold personal significance and provide the opportunity to not only honour their own past, loved ones and friends, but also share memories of such an important part of their lives.

🌹 Honouring Remembrance Day at Elizabeth Gardens 🌹

Our wonderful receptionist, Bobby, worked alongside our residents to create some truly beautiful artwork in honour of Remembrance Day.

We are proud to support our community and our veterans through our ongoing commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant, as we work towards the Veteran Friendly Framework for Care Homes.
