🎸 This week, we had the pleasure of a performance from U3lele Ukulele Group. 🎸

Ukuleles may bring your thoughts to Hawaii, however, these talented ladies and gents gave us a great acoustic afternoon of fun. We sang, we learnt the ukulele, and we laughed. What more could you want from an afternoon? ☺️

Here's a fun fact that our Mayor informed us of...every library in Milton Keynes has a ukulele that can be lent out to the community. So if you're near a library in MK and want to give it a go, ask a librarian 😉

🌼 Celebrating Marie Curie This Week 🌼

This week we proudly celebrated the incredible work of Marie Curie UK. To help raise awareness, our residents and members of the Loughton & Great Holm Parish Council community joined us in planting the flower of Marie Curie.

We were honoured that our local parish kindly allocated space for us to plant daffodils, the beautiful symbol of Marie Curie. It is wonderful to come together, support a vital cause, and strengthen our local community at the same time. 💚

And of course, we finished the day with a warm cuppa and a slice of lovely cake to heat us back up. 🍰

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this a meaningful moment for all. 💛

This week, we were honoured to welcome mayor_mk and our Deputy Mayor of Milton Keynes, JJ and the amazing volunteers from the Armed Forces Covenant and our Armed Forces Covenant partners to our home to help us celebrate this achievement and welcome us into their community. 🎉🤝

💚 We look forward to supporting veterans through our service and creating a safe, welcoming place where they can feel truly valued. 🇬🇧💙

✈️🌏 Join Us In Our World Tour🌏✈️

Yesterday, our residents set off on a wonderful mini break to Turkey as part of our exciting journey exploring cultures from around the world! 🇹🇷

Each resident now has their very own “passport,” collecting stamps as we travel together throughout the year. From themed lunches prepared by our fantastic kitchen team, to crafts, music, quizzes, and even dressing up in traditional accessories, every trip is a full cultural experience!

Our Turkish adventure was filled with delicious treats like Turkish delight and baklava, alongside a mouth-watering lunch. Residents got creative with crafts, tested their knowledge with quizzes, and fully embraced the spirit of the day. We even had our Porthaven COO and Group Sales & Marketing team joining in the fun, proudly wearing fez hats! ☺️

Our journey has only just begun… 👀
