Happy Monday all!

So after being asked why do we ache more in the winter? I thought I'd look for a scientific reason and it's actually really interesting 🤔
Although there is no single answer, one of the theories is related to the barometric pressure (air pressure) changing. This causes tendons, muscles and the surrounding tissues to expand, resulting in pain, and discomfort, especially in joints affected by arthritis.

So what are some of the ways to reduce aches and pain during the winter?

❄️ Stay warm and layer up!
❄️Build up muscle and bone strength through exercise. This reduces pressure on your joints.
❄️Avoid unnecessary strain on your joints during daily activities.
❄️Apply heating pads to painful areas. Heat helps relax your muscles.
❄️Have a massages to reduces muscle pain and tension.
❄️ Stretching before going outside to loosen stiff joints.
❄️Staying active to help muscles and joints healthy. Walking is great as it is not too strenuous along with swimming or using a cross trainer as they are non weight bearing.
❄️Get a good night's sleep.

As of next will officially be back from maternity leave.
I will no longer be offering mobile treatments and will be based in Cranfield.
Any outstanding vouchers are still valid so please be sure to get booked in.

Evening all. I know I have been quiet on social media over the last year, but wanted to announce I am now officially on maternity leave and after a lot of thought and consideration I have decided I won't be rushing back to massage in the next year as I have done previously.
