We’re delighted to be attending the Dementia Awareness Day as part of Dementia Action Week 💙

The team from Bluebird Care will be at Weston Favell Library on Friday 22nd May 2026 between 10am–3pm, where we’ll be available to chat about the home care and dementia support services we provide to people and families across the local community.

We were kindly invited by Neena, Dementia Lead at Northampton Hospital, to take part in this important event alongside many fantastic local organisations supporting people living with dementia.

This week is Dying Matters Awareness Week — an important opportunity to open up conversations about death, dying, and grief, and to highlight the importance of dignity, compassion, and personal choice in palliative care.

At Bluebird Care, we believe everyone deserves the chance to live life their way for as long as possible — and to be supported with the same respect, comfort, and dignity during their final journey.

Talking about death shouldn’t be frightening or avoided. Having open conversations helps ensure wishes are understood, choices are respected, and families feel supported through difficult times. We are proud to support not only our customers, but also the wider circle of family and friends who walk alongside them.

Compassionate care is about more than meeting needs — it’s about being there, listening, and helping people feel safe, valued, and never alone.

✨ Our Deputy Manager, Gemma is shortlisted for 'The Learning & Development Award' for her role in all of our training and staff development, testament to her eye for detail and desire to implement innovation!
✨ Our Registered Manager, Kelly is shortlisted for 'The Dementia Specialist Award' for her ongoing dedication to dementia support, inclusive of Memory Lane Café.

This year, we are incredibly proud to celebrate 15 years of Bluebird Care Milton Keynes 💙

Reaching this milestone is a true testament to the trust and support we have received from our local community over the years. Since opening our doors, we have had the privilege of supporting hundreds of wonderful customers and their families, helping people remain safe, independent, and comfortable in their own homes.

What makes this achievement even more special is the people behind it; Our amazing team of care professionals and office staff, whose dedication, compassion, and hard work make everything we do possible. Our Directors, Catherine and David who remain hands on and dedicated to the organisation after all these years.

To our customers, families, colleagues, and community — thank you for being part of our journey over the last 15 years. We are so grateful for your continued trust and support, and we look forward to many more years of delivering outstanding care across Milton Keynes.
