Claire was struggling with Perimenopause burn out.
😴 Tired of her kids and husband
😴 Tired of work and house chores
😴 Tired of going out
⚡️ She’d lost her spark for life. There was NO JOY

Can you relate? Claire booked a POWER HOUR with me. She wanted natural medicine as she’d lost faith in the NHS and didn’t want antidepressants.

I prescribed the no.1 menopause remedy and within a few days she was feeling happier and able to cope. Within a month her spark was back 🔥 and now she only takes her remedies when she needs to.

10 years.
That’s how long I’ve been navigating perimenopause.

It started with irregular periods and random crying in the bathroom.
Then came the weight gain, the exhaustion, the loss of joy.
Tinnitus. Anxiety. Grief. No motivation for work or life.

Despite being in Hormones Health for the past 17 years…
At 49, I crashed. Again.
So I did something radical…

I hit pause.
Gave myself space.
Used the tools I know work – journalling, EFT, natural medicine, rest, real honesty.

Within days, I started to feel like me again.

If you’re in the thick of it, please know this:
You’re not crazy.
You’re not broken.
You just need support that works.

💖 Book your Power Hour now. Let’s get your spark back.

DAY 5 of our Weight Loss Series and we're focusing no the Gut Health, Oestrogen & Weight Gain – The Surprising Link

Thank you to all of you who have come over to our new Community and are interacting. We've got LIVE masterclasses planned for the next few months. Make sure you come and join us there.

A few of you have mentioned here in our Community that you have made changes BUT still not losing weight. This is where we need to focus on the GUT and inflammation. Something we do in the 10 Day Detox.

Your gut is more than just a digestion machine, it’s your hormone powerhouse. And when it’s out of balance (which it often is after 40), it can lead to symptoms like bloating, fatigue, cravings, poor sleep, low mood… and yes, stubborn weight.

Your gut microbiome is made up of trillions of bacteria, some helpful, some harmful. A healthy gut supports oestrogen detoxification, regulates your appetite hormones, keeps inflammation low, and even boosts mood and metabolism. But when the bad bacteria take over, everything from weight to energy and mood can be affected.

The gut is also directly linked to oestrogen dominance, a common issue in midlife. If your body can’t clear excess oestrogen effectively, it recirculates, leading to weight gain around the hips, thighs, and belly. (Yes, if you are on HRT you could be oestrogen dominant, even post menopause).

Tips to support gut health and kickstart fat loss

Eat fermented foods (yogurt, sauerkraut, kefir)
Increase fibre and prebiotic foods (onions, garlic, apples, oats)
Avoid processed food, sugar, and alcohol
Take a high-quality probiotic

Consider a gut reset (like our 10 Day Detox Programme)

➡️ If you’ve tried everything and still feel stuck, your gut may be crying out for support. Ask us about our 10 Day Detox or the Upgrade Weight Loss System. You'll find them in the Classroom or message us for a LINK and discount code available for July '25.

We are on Day 4 of our Weight Loss Series inside our new community MIDLIFE UNFILTERED & MENOPAUSE.

Thank you so much for all of you who joined our Masterclass last night 🙏🏻😘 It was lovely to chat with you all and to see what you've tried, what's working and not working! And more importantly great that some of you are now taking the steps to feel better.

GOOD NEWS - We can ditch the burpees, running and high impact cardio! Let us tell you what your body really needs after 40+.

⬇️ I've got a free guide for you to grab below with loads of tips, it's FREE until Saturday so grab it now ⬇️

If you’ve ever pushed yourself through an intense HIIT session only to feel bloated, exhausted, and heavier, you’re not alone. In midlife, our bodies respond differently to stress and yes, intense exercise can be another form of stress.

Instead of punishing your body with bootcamps, running or high-impact workouts, focus on movement that supports your hormones. Two of the best options? Walking and strength training.

Walking is a game-changer for women over 40. It reduces cortisol, boosts mood, improves insulin sensitivity, and helps burn fat, this is all without exhausting your adrenals. Just 30 minutes a day can make a huge difference.

Strength training, on the other hand, helps build lean muscle, which boosts your resting metabolism and combats age-related muscle loss (sarcopenia) and boosts testosterone. Muscle also helps balance blood sugar, supports joint health, and gives you that toned, tight look many women desire.

You don’t need a gym. A few dumbbells, resistance bands, or even bodyweight exercises are enough. Aim for 2-3 strength sessions a week, paired with daily walks, and sprinkle in yoga or stretching for recovery.

💪🏻 Download our over 40's Nutrition & Wellness Guide and you'll find more information to help with the exercise together with a routine. Do it before Saturday if you want it for F R E E

➡️ Tomorrow, we’ll dive into your gut – and why it might be the missing link in your weight loss puzzle.

Download it now and don't forget to join the new community inside - https://thehormonefairy.mykajabi.com/offers/z9xqbANW/checkout

The Hidden Hormone Keeping You Fat 😡 and it's not OESTROGEN.

Inside our new community MIDLIFE UNFILTERED & MENOPAUSE we've focused on Weight Loss in a 5 day series. Make sure you come into the group and join the conversation - ask in the comments for the LINK.

So that hidden hormone keeping you fat - If you know me and have heard me speak, maybe you can guess, as I'm always talking about it.

Let’s talk about cortisol — your body’s main stress hormone. While cortisol is essential for survival, too much of it over time can be a major roadblock to weight loss, especially around the belly.

When you’re constantly stressed (even low-level stress like poor sleep, work pressure, or feeling overwhelmed), your body stays in “fight or flight” mode. Cortisol rises, triggering cravings for sugar and fat, slowing down your metabolism, and encouraging your body to store fat, particularly around the midsection.

This is what’s often referred to as stress belly, and it’s something I see frequently in my menopause clients especially when we do the DUTCH hormone tests. Cortisol also disrupts sleep, throws off blood sugar, and interferes with your other hormones like oestrogen and progesterone, creating a vicious cycle of fatigue, anxiety, belly fat, and burnout.

The solution isn’t to quit your job, leave your family and move to a beach hut (although tempting!). It’s about learning to regulate cortisol naturally. Here's a few tips...

Create a calming morning routine (morning sunshine is amazing, take off those sunglasses)

🚶🏻Prioritise gentle movement (like walking, pilates or yoga)
🌱Take adaptogenic herbs like ashwagandha or rhodiola
🍊Support your adrenals with magnesium and Vitamin C
🧘🏻Use breathwork or meditation daily, even for 5 minutes
🎧Try hypnotherapy or natural remedies

When you calm your nervous system, your body shifts into fat-burning mode and you’ll start to feel more like yourself again.

➡️ Tomorrow, we’ll focus on the best kind of exercise to support your hormones, metabolism, and energy after 40.

DAY 2 - BALANCING YOUR BLOOD SUGAR COULD BE THE SECRET TO FAT LOSS

It's day 2 of our WEIGHT LOSS Series over in our FREE Community Midlife Unfiltered and Menopause. Make sure you come and Join us - Comment COMMUNITY and we'll send you the Link right Now.

Let's get to it - Have you ever noticed that you feel hangry, shaky, or tired if you go too long without food? Or that after eating carbs or sugar, you get a quick energy boost followed by a crash? That’s your blood sugar rollercoaster and it can seriously affect your weight and hormones.

Here’s how it works! When you eat carbs or sugary foods, your blood sugar rises. In response, your body releases insulin to move that sugar into your cells. But when insulin is too high too often, like after years of snacking, processed food, or stress, your cells stop responding properly. This is called insulin resistance, and it’s common during and after menopause.

When your cells are resistant to insulin, your body stores more sugar as fat, YES especially around your belly. Plus, high insulin makes it harder to burn fat for fuel, which means you’re more likely to crave sugar and struggle with energy dips, brain fog, and stubborn weight.

The good news? You can improve insulin sensitivity with the right foods and timing. Focus on protein, healthy fats, and fibre at each meal. Try not to graze all day instead, give your body time between meals to reset. Add apple cider vinegar or lemon water before meals, and prioritise sleep and stress relief to help keep your blood sugar in balance.

We've had great results with women on our Upgrade Weight Loss system taking the lemon water 2-3 times per day before meals!
