Our residents decided to celebrate St George’s Day a little differently this year… with pancakes! 🥞
Using an electric pancake maker, everyone had the chance to get involved and have a go themselves. The smell of fresh pancakes filled the room, bringing back lovely childhood memories—especially when topped with the classic lemon and sugar. 🍋✨
Jim was first in line to taste test for us, and we’re happy to say they went down a treat! 😊

We would like to say a heartfelt thank you to Carrie and Karen, along with their wonderful helpers, for their continued support in leading our church services.
They join us every month without fail, bringing comfort, companionship and a sense of community to our residents. Karen from Milton, Norton and Brownedge Church, and Carrie from Bagnall Church, along with their team, are always so kind and dedicated.
Their visits are truly appreciated by everyone, and we are very grateful for the time and care they give. Thank you for everything you do.

Place your bets! 🐎
We had our very own horse race this morning, and what an exciting one it was! Joyce’s horse stayed at the back for most of the race, but came from nowhere to take the win—putting a huge smile on her face. 😊
Residents also had the chance to pick a random horse for the Grand National tomorrow, and we’ll all be watching with great excitement to see how they get on.
All bets were placed using our “fun money”, but the enjoyment and laughter were very real! 🎉

We played our Easter Bingo this afternoon with special prizes. A longer session than normal to ensure everyone won today...

We've had a lovely morning making Flower Arrangements for our tables, to brighten them up a little. Followed by a relaxing film "Easter Parade" which took us up to lunch time. After that, we had Nathan come to do an exercise class and then we had a surprise visit from "Spring" the dog who loved lots of fusses. Time to relax now. Daisy has joined us from Newcastle College and visits us on Fridays. She’s been with us for a few weeks now and is settling in really well, getting involved and taking part in a variety of activities.
Daisy has been a great help to our Activity Team, and we’re very pleased to have her with us. 😊
