With gratitude and respect, Longfield Community Hospice remembers Baroness Rennie Fritchie following the recent announcement of her death.

Baroness Rennie was a valued Trustee of Longfield in recent years, bringing a wealth of experience, insight and a deep commitment to public service. During her time with us, she offered wise counsel and thoughtful guidance, helping to support our work for people facing life-limiting illness and those closest to them.

Our thoughts are with her family, friends and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Tributes are flowing for Baroness Rennie Fritchie, a distinguished life peer and former member of the House of Lords, who passed away on Thursday at the age of 83, leaving behind a legacy of public service, mentorship, and advocacy.

Last week Head of Fundraising & Marketing, Jane, popped down to the T'Ukes (Tetbury and District u3a Ukele Group) to attend their Spring Concert and collect a cheque for £1000 very kindly raised for Longfield Hospice.

Jane enjoyed a lovely hour listening to them perform and meeting up with the group.

Volunteer John Lewis popped in to hand over a cheque for £335 from the Masons Lodge of the Perfect Ashlar this morning.

We are so grateful for the support of the Masons throughout Gloucestershire, both in fundraising for us and providing car parking support for many of our events.
