New Contract Begins at Minehead Medical Centre

Minehead Medical Centre has been a valued part of the OneMedicare family for the past two years, and we are pleased to continue delivering primary care services under a new three-year healthcare contract, which begins today on Friday 23rd January 2026.

Our services will not be disrupted and patients can continue to access care as usual. Please continue to request appointments through our online triage system if possible. We also offer a range of other health services including:
• Respiratory and Spirometry clinics
• Diabetic clinics
• NHS Health Check clinics
• Hypertension checks
• Blood clinics
• Directly bookable First Contact Physiotherapy appointments.
• Children and Young People’s Mental Health Link Worker clinics
• Access to Health Coaches, our Complex Care Nurse, Village Agents, and an Occupational Health Worker.

📢 Walk-in COVID-19 and Flu Vaccination Clinic tomorrow!

Apologies for the incorrect information that was originally shared yesterday evening, we're sorry for any inconvenience caused.

We can confirm that a walk-in COVID-19 and Flu vaccination clinic will be held at the surgery on Wednesday 21 January, between 10:00am and 1:00pm.

The clinic is organised by NHS England and is available to eligible patients only.

COVID-19 Vaccinations are available to:
✔️ People aged 75 and over
✔️ Immunocompromised individuals

Flu Vaccinations are available to:
✔️ People aged 65 and over
✔️ Carers
✔️ Healthcare/Social Care Workers
✔️ Immunocompromised individuals

No appointment is needed; please pop along during the clinic times if you are eligible and would like a vaccination.

• Deliver generalist and specialist palliative care in practice and community settings
• Lead anticipatory and advance care planning, including DNACPR discussions
• Support symptom management, medication optimisation and reduce avoidable hospital admissions
• Act as the palliative care clinical lead within a supportive MDT
