The team at Dunster and Porlock surgeries were deeply saddened by the events yesterday over at Cutcombe Hill and our heartfelt thoughts go out to all affected.
We remain open and are keen for everyone to continue to access our services as normal. We recognise that additional care will be needed by some, so please do get in touch and we will endeavour to help as always

As you may be aware Measles has been on the news again recently. Cases of this potentially fatal illness is on the rise again and we would urge all parents to consider vaccinating their children against this. If you would like to arrange an appointment for this vaccination or require any further information please contact the surgery directly. We can also advise you if your child has received any vaccinations for this if you are unsure.

As a practice we support breast screening.

With 1 in 8 women being diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime, it’s very important to detect cancer as early as possible to have the best chance of successful treatment.

All women registered with our practice and ages 50-70 years will be invited for screening every 3 years. Please ensure that you attend your appointment when you receive your invitation.

Screening saves lives

IMPORTANT

Due to the large influx of new patients Somerset ICB have implemented an initial Emergency 3-month list closure to protect the services for Dunster and Porlock patients.
We do not wish to add to the workload of our colleagues in nearby surgeries so, as before, we will continue to register patients who are new to the area whose address is nearer to either Dunster or Porlock Surgery than any other surgery.

This list closure is effective from 09:00 on 18th November 2024.

Any requests for registration already received will be honoured.

We apologies for any inconvenience this will cause.
