‼️ Further update ‼️

Our systems are still down. We have someone onsite looking into the issue and hope to be up and running before the end of the day.

Any Engage requests that have been submitted today will be dealt with as soon as we are back up and running but please be aware that some requests may not be looked at until Monday.

We have no access to our computer systems and cannot make or receive calls at the moment. We will be in touch with anyone that needs rescheduled on Monday.

Thank you to everyone who has attended the surgery today and been so understanding.

**UPDATE**

**Our phone lines and computers are currently still down and we have no access to Engage to deal with requests.
We are in touch with our IT department and hoping to have this resolved as soon as possible.
For any appointments that need to be rescheduled, we will be in touch to arrange this once our systems are back up and running. Thank you to everyone for their patience so far.**

We are experiencing some IT issues with our computers this morning which may delay some of our appointments. Please be patient whilst we try to resolve the issue. Thanks Aden Health Centre

Unfortunately we need to cancel our extended hours clinic this evening.
If you were booked in for a telephone call this evening, we will try to contact you to rearrange. Alternatively, call the surgery tomorrow to rearrange.

We are noticing an increase in requests for appointments for hand foot and mouth.

Hand, foot and mouth disease can be unpleasant, but it will usually clear up by itself within 7 to 10 days. You can normally look after yourself or your child at home.

***Cosy Cuppa Sessions***
As Winter is fast approaching we would just like to remind everyone that we have our Cosy Cuppa Sessions every Tuesday & Thursday from 10am-2pm.

Tuesday's sessions include a heated space for 4 hours, hot drinks and biscuits.

Thursday's sessions include a heated space for 4 hours, hot drinks, hot soup & sandwiches

These sessions are both FREE OF CHARGE and there is a great group of people that come along so it would be great to see some new faces join us 😊

North East Scotland Mobile Breast Screening Unit - Mintlaw 2025

The North East Scotland Mobile Breast Screening Service will commence screening in Mintlaw on Thursday 9th October 2025 for approximately 6 weeks. The Mobile Unit will be sited in the car park at Aden Health Centre, Newlands Road, Mintlaw, AB42 5GP.

Women aged 50-70 years of age who are registered with a General Practitioner at Aden Health Centre will receive an invitation to attend. The letters are sent out 4 weeks before their appointment date. Women aged 71 years and over are not sent an invitation, however, they can make their own appointment by contacting the Screening Centre (01224 550570).

Mrs Sarah Philip, Manager for the Breast Screening Service said “The aim of the programme is to detect breast changes at an early stage when treatment has the best chance of being successful. We hope that women invited for the first time will take advantage of their invitation for mammography and for women who have been screened previously, it is important to attend to ensure that there have been no changes over the past three years. The risk of developing breast cancer increases as you get older, so if any woman missed or failed to attend their previous invitation, it is still important to come along for screening this time.”
