Well, the holes on Station Road look like they've had a shovel full of gravel dumped in them and then been patted down by a kitten. 'Repairs' of that standard aren't going to last but at least we won't be losing tyres, wheels, cyclists or small children in the holes. Keep reporting them, everyone. Holes are getting filled.

It looks like the moon crater on the corner of Beechwood and Westfields has now been filled. Good work to whoever reported it.

A Mirfield resident reported the following three pot holes on Friday:

North Rd x 2 & Norristhorpe Lane.

They have been filled today.

To start you off, I reported the pothole on Knowl Road near the top of Doctor Lane on January 29th. It has already been rectified. That's less than a week. The system appears to be working so let's make use of it.

Let's do something about the state of the roads around Mirfield.

Pot holes can damage cars and prove to be a real safety risk to cyclists and motorcyclists. We pay Kirklees council an absolute fortune every year so let's see them earn some of the money.

The purpose of this page is to keep track of where pot holes are being identified and reported. A Kirklees web page can be used to report them and they MUST respond to it within fourteen days. If they don't, they can be held accountable for damage to vehicles or injuries.

So let's stop moaning about it and start doing something instead. Go to this web page:

https://www.kirklees.gov.uk/report/ReportPotholesStart.aspx

Create an account and start reporting the pot holes. Post on this page when you've done so. If you can't report them (or don't want to) then let us know and we'll post the report on your behalf. Include photos if you can.

Let's see some of that Kirklees cash being used to help Mirfield for a change.

Report Potholes to Kirklees council.
