Hypnobirthing has so many benefits, and not just for labour or birth but lifelong benefits.

Only last month I used the birth breathing when I was having root canal at the dentist!

Your birth experience will be one of the most important days of your life and it is true that you will remember the experience in years and years to come.

Women remember how they were treated, and what was said to them, they remember minute details about birth all the way through life and can tell you their story of their experience.

Using hypnobirthing to help you prepare for the birth of your baby will provide you with a positive memory of your experience.

Hypnobirthing will be more than you could ever have imagined and it will be something that you will never regret using.

I have a FREE hypnobirthing taster session this Saturday 12th March 10am. DM me for the zoom link to join, and find out if its for you.

Labour is like running a marathon, and just like anyone running a marathon you need to fuel your body with the right foods to help maintain energy levels so your body can do what it is designed to do.

During established and active labour you might not feel like eating much. Your digestive system slows down and that's because your blood is supplying oxygen and nutrients to the uterus/womb which is working hard during labour.

So eating the right foods to give your body the energy it needs to labour is essential.

Think high carbohydrate foods!
Sweets such as jelly babies and jelly beans are very easy to eat, and high in carbohydrates, the same goes for raisins.

Dark chocolate melts easily in the mouth and the caffeine provides a boost of energy.

Sports gels are a fast and easy way to get energy into the body.

Remember to keep hydrated too! Isotonic drinks are recommended by NICE (national institute of clinical excellence), although some people prefer plain water.

Save this for later, when you are out shopping for labour snacks! πŸ‘πŸ˜
