Sunday 8th March is International Women's Day. This day represents and raises awareness for women's rights to create a gender equal world.

This years theme is 'Give To Gain' which emphasises the power of reciprocity and support. When people, organisations, and communities give generously, opportunities and support for women increase. Giving is not a subtraction, it's intentional multiplication. When women thrive, we all rise. We love how this theme also links to one of the 5 ways of wellbeing - Giving!

Sleep plays a vital role in our mental and physical health. Quality sleep helps to regulate mood, improve concentration, strengthen our immune system and support overall wellbeing. When we don’t get enough sleep, it can affect our energy levels, motivation, stress levels and ability to cope with everyday challenges. Over time, ongoing sleep difficulties can have a significant impact on how we feel and function day to day.

If you would like to learn out more about improving your sleep, why not join our ‘Improving Sleep’ wellbeing workshop on Thursday 12th March from 11am to 12:30pm. This free online workshop will explore the importance of sleep, what healthy sleep looks like, factors that affect our sleep, and practical tools and tips to help you move towards healthier sleep habits

This International Wildlife Day, why not take a mindful walk to explore all of the wildlife living in your local area. Some you may recognise easily, such as foxes, squirrels and magpies but some may surprise you. We are lucky enough to share our local area with herons, dragonflies and parakeets too.

Getting outside and spending time with nature can help to improve our mood, increase our activity levels and help us to feel present within our incredible and diverse environment - all ways to support our emotional and mental wellbeing.

If you would like to explore a wider range of wildlife, you may wish to visit Deen City Farm located within Morden Hall Park (https://www.deencityfarm.co.uk/) or take a walk along the Wandle Trail or simply take a look outside of your window!

Today, on Zero Discrimination Day, we shine a light on the critical issue of HIV-related stigma and discrimination. This year's theme- 'HIV-related stigma and discrimination put lives at risk'- reminds us that stigma prevents people from getting tested, accessing treatment and living full lives.

To combat this, we must actively challenge misconceptions and promote understanding through learning, supporting and connecting with those affected. Start conversations with friends and family, support and give to organisations working to end HIV-stigma.

Together, we can create a world where everyone has access to the care and respect they deserve.
