1st March 2018
Update from the clubroom.
As I have been unwell and not been able to perform my duties , I thought I'd give an update on what I know what's happening.
The new test tracks don't marry up so doesn't complete a circuit, so it's back to the drawing board with that one.
The club still doesn't have a plan for providing an annual exhibition, tho many suggestions have been put forward, nothing is meeting our needs.
There should be an Open Day this year, however no date has been set , so until we can agree a date, that is on hold.
Palmerston Road, the Club's famous O guage that has toured the exhibition circuit for years has now been shelved. The layout is of such a size (and weight) that our aging club members find it too much for them, and we don't have enough young able bodied members to help with the hu***ng and bumping.
Frank and I have had serious medical issues this year to the point of being hospitalised, however by Gods grace , we're on the mend. Martin and Jim are in charge for the time being , hopefully keeping everything afloat.
Hopefully, we shall be OK for thd AGM later this month.
Next Wednesday 7th March is the monthly test track running night (still using the old one) so come along and join in. Need an engine running in, want to test your new trainset, or just play trains, then you are all welcome.
Regards
