But the honest truth is that your breath is literally the one tool you carry with you everywhere - but you’re probably not using it to its full potential!!

✔ Calm your racing thoughts
✔ Help you think clearly in heated moments
✔ Make overwhelm feel manageable—not all-consuming

When you slow your breath, you send a direct signal to your nervous system telling it that you’re safe—and that calms everything else down.

Soooo, the next time your chest tightens, your mind runs wild, or you feel like you’re about to snap—
✨ Pause.
✨ Inhale deeply through your nose for 4 counts
✨ Hold for 4
✨ Exhale slowly through your mouth for 6

INFLAMMATION is making us all miserable, so let’s do something about it!

Try One Simple Thing Every Day to lower INFLAMMATION 🔥 in our bodies & say hello to less bloating, joint pain, and brain fog!

You don’t need a complete lifestyle overhaul. Just start with one easy habit:

🚶‍♀️ Take a 10-minute walk after you eat.
Seriously - that’s it! No special gear, no intense workouts—just a short walk. It helps your body digest better, keeps blood sugar steadier, and calms inflammation over time.

Other “chilled out” inflammation-fighting things you can try:
🥬 Toss some greens into your meal
💧 Actually drink that water you’ve been ignoring!! & maybe add some chia seeds and a squeeze of lemon 🍋
🧘‍♂️ Do 5 minutes of stretching or deep breathing
😴 Go to bed a little earlier (your body will thank you!!)

My favourite is a cold dip 💧
When I can’t get to the sea, I just lower the temperature at the end of my shower for 30 seconds!! That’s it!!

It’s not about being perfect. It’s about showing up for your body in small ways every day. Those small things add up big time. 💪

Each week I try to think over the different topics I’ve talked about with clients during their reflexology treatment. Hydration & drinking more water is always a theme - so here’s a little tip I’ve shared this week that will keep you stay hydrated for longer - especially if you’re not one for glugging glasses of 💧

What a privilege to be invited to speak to the lovely Presbyterian Women of Moira ❤️

We had a great night starting with a Reflexology demonstration showing how the body is mapped onto our feet and how applying pressure to different points can help reduce inflammation and encourage deep relaxation.

We talked about the “body mind connection” and how things that are going on in our heads can cause health deterioration if not dealt with.

We then were thinking about the importance of self care and looking after our wellbeing. We looked at some hand reflexology exercises which we can all do anytime, anyplace, anywhere and use as a tool when we are feeling stressed or overwhelmed.

In perfect Presbyterian style we ended the night with a lovely cup of tea and a traybake 🥰

I hope I left everyone with some food for thought 👣

A question I get asked a lot, is how often I recommend coming for Reflexology? I generally recommend every 4 - 6 weeks, especially if you are working on a particular issue or if you are really focussing on making reflexology a priority in your self care routine 🫶🏼

Quite often I have clients who come for a one off treatment. Maybe curious to experience reflexology or to use a gift voucher. Sometimes these clients end up on a journey they never expected ✨

Then I have clients who come sporadically for a treatment because they just get the feeling that “they need it “❤️

The truth is, that everyday or any day is right for a reflexology treatment 👣

Everyone is on their own journey. Somedays the path is straightforward & somedays it meanders and is bumpy!!

I’ll always be glad to see you - just whenever it suits YOU 👣 x

Just wanted to give a bit of an explanation as to how helpful reflexology can be during times when we are feeling anxious or stressed.

👣 Activation of Relaxation
Responses:

During a Reflexology treatment the parasympathetic nervous system is stimulated. This promotes relaxation and reduces the body’s stress response, which in turn can lower heart rate and blood pressure, creating a calming effect ✨

Taking a couple of days away to train in something TOTALLY new!! 😬

I’m always telling you all to step outside your comfort zone and just go for it 💪🏼 so I thought I’d take a piece of my own advice!!

It certainly won’t be as relaxing or calming as a Reflexology treatment 👣 but is going to have an exciting new offering and I really hope you’ll enjoy following along as we bring it all to life ❤️
