Isn't lovely when you can go somewhere for a little "me time", disconnect yourself from the word and just relax!
However, with accessibility to mobile devices being part of our everyday living now, I am seeing that people are finding it harder to do so. There is no denying that mobile phones, smart watches etc have a valuable place in our lives.... but when do they start to take it over and have a negative impact on them also?
I have found over the years I use mine more for a camera and to play music than anything else... Its constantly on silent and unless I'm actually doing something on it (like this!), I miss more messages and calls that I care to admit.. Normally I have to get someone to call it to.find out where I left it last, I I'm a nightmare!
I feel better for this though, because if I didn't do this I feel like I can never get away from constant ties... I go out walking every morning with my son and we talk about what's on our mind, laugh, cry (that's me generally!), and enjoy listening to the world around us... Its a lovely feeling to be disconnected from technology.
So I have a favour to ask all my clients.... that when you are coming for a treatment which is for relaxation, to either leave your phone or smartwatch in your car, or place it in the box which I will provide in my room on silent... All I ever want is for you all to get the maximum benefits from your treatments, and unfortunatley when you hear ding, pop or buzz coming from a device, but it is hard to switch of and achieve it.
So it conclude this post....apologies in advance..... if I take a while to return your call or message... Now you know why!!
