🎸🥁We were lucky enough to have another visit from The Rockworks Penyffordd! Our resident's and staff really threw themselves in, playing instruments, dancing and singing along.

🎈Our oldest resident turned 97 yesterday!

Did you know, 97 years ago to the day, the world's first colour television was demonstrated!

Our cooks made her a huge birthday cake and residents, staff and relatives gathered to sing Happy Birthday.

Big thank you to Elena from Omeda Crafts for visiting the home today with her homemade natural skincare products. Elena did a sensory workshop for our residents, smelling soaps and trying lip and hand balms and face oil.

Our residents had a visit from Robin from Betsi Cadwaladr Health Board's health improvement team to do some Tai Chi! We had a big turn out with everyone joining in. We couldn't make activities like this happen without the brilliant teamwork from our our carers, nurses and activities coordinator!

🍻Father's Day was a big success here at The Cottage Nursing Home, Mold! As always, our staff, including father's like our carer Damian, threw themselves into making it special. 0% Beer all round!

What a lovely afternoon here at The Cottage Nursing Home, Mold. We had a visit from The Rockworks Penyffordd. Our residents danced and joined in with some instruments of their own. We look forward to them returning in a few weeks time!

🎂🎈Yesterday we celebrated one of our resident's 75th Birthday here at The Cottage Nursing Home, Mold! We have celebrated 3 so far in May with 6 more coming up in June! We know that not everyone has family nearby who can visit and we want to make sure that all of our residents have a special day.

🐕‍🦺We were lucky enough to have a visit from Therapy Dogs Nationwide here at The Cottage Nursing Home, Mold today.

We know that animals visiting can improve self-esteem and confidence as well as reducing anxiety. It was really lovely to see our residents faces light up.

Did you know it’s Dementia awareness week?

The word 'dementia' describes a set of symptoms that over time can affect memory, problem-solving, language and behaviour. Alzheimer's disease is the most common type of dementia.

At The Cottage Nursing Home, Mold we specialise in EMI nursing, creating a safe space for those with dementia. We aim to provide and encourage activities tailored to each individual. This includes things like music workshops, arts and crafts, and sensory activities.
