🎵 Singing Mamas 🎵

Every so often, we welcome the Singing Mamas, a group of mums who visit with their babies and young children to sing with our residents.

These visits create a calm, uplifting space where older people can enjoy the sound of familiar songs, connect with others, and experience the joy that the little ones bring. For many, it sparks memories, encourages conversation, and simply brightens the day.

Moments like these show just how valuable intergenerational connection can be.

🪖✨ A Special Visit with a Piece of History ✨🪖

Yesterday, our care home had the privilege of welcoming a fascinating collection of wartime memorabilia, including uniforms, weapons, and personal items from years gone by.

Residents were able to see, touch, and learn about these historic artefacts, sparking memories, meaningful conversations, and heartfelt reflections.

📚🦔 Our residents and staff have turned old books into adorable hedgehogs and witches, and people can’t get enough of them! They've been selling fast, raising money to put back into our home.

We’ll be making more soon, so keep an eye out or ask a member of staff if you’d like to buy one!💖

Bryn Yr Haul: Where Memories Come Full Circle 💛

One of our resident's family has a special connection to our home. Long before it became Bryn Yr Haul Care Home, it was his childhood home. Hearing his stories of playing in the garden and his grandad’s greenhouse reminded us just how much history lives within these walls.

Now, decades later, that same warmth and comfort is shared by our residents, families, and team — creating new memories every day. It's been such a unique experience for him to visit again. 🏡✨
