STATEMENT
On Friday & Saturday last week, one of our crews accompanied Richy’s Walk 'N' Talk group in the RRV as they embarked on an incredible journey—walking from Wrexham to Wigan in support of the Wrexham v Wigan match and mental health awareness. Our vehicle and crew were donated for the duration, to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all participants throughout the event.
For those unfamiliar with the initiative, Richy’s Walk 'N' Talk is a community group supporting individuals of all ages who are facing mental health challenges. Beyond that, this remarkable group has assisted countless people in various ways—helping individuals find employment, providing food to those experiencing homelessness, and supporting families coping with bereavement, among many other acts of kindness.
As a microbusiness, we’ve proudly supported the group wherever possible—most notably during their Christmas Toy Chest campaign. Thanks to the generosity of local individuals and businesses, they were able to collect and distribute gifts to struggling families within the Wrexham community, ensuring children received the joyful Christmas they deserved.
It is therefore deeply disheartening to learn that Richy Harries, the founder of this inspiring group, was subjected to abuse, threats of violence, messages telling him to end his life and baseless accusations last night. Claims have been made suggesting the group used a minibus during the walk from Wrexham to Wigan. Had that been the case, our presence would not have been required. In reality, we spent nearly 20 hours alongside them, witnessing their commitment first hand.
‼️We know Richy personally and can vouch for his unwavering dedication to helping others. He has given so much to the community—entirely selflessly, and without ever seeking anything in return. He deserves admiration and respect, not hostility and false allegations‼️
