It is with great sadness, we share news of the sudden but peaceful death of Dennis, deeply loved and loving husband of Fiona, on Thursday, April 2, 2026. A wonderful and dearly loved dad to Simon, Lucy and Tim and a cherished grandad to his six grandchildren.

A former teacher at Arbroath High School, avid cyclist/mountain biker, raconteur and extremely talented folk musician, his kindness and sense of humour will be sorely missed by so many.

A celebration of his life will be held at Parkgrove Crematorium, Friockheim at 3:30pm., on Friday, April 17, to which all are welcome to attend. Wearing of checked shirts is optional. Family flowers only.

The family of the late John (Jock) Keir would like to express heartfelt thanks to those who offered kindness & support on his passing. Your
messages, cards & flowers were sincerely appreciated. Thanks to all those who paid their respects at both the service rooms &
graveside & to the Rev. Mike Goss for his comforting service. Thanks also to those who attended Jock’s funeral tea at the Station Hotel,
Carnoustie. There is no doubt that Jock would have appreciated the food, fine company & laughter.
We would like to also express thanks to Jock’s carers, district nurses, surgery, & the NHS teams involved in his care. Also, the staff at Ward 7
