At Angus physiotherapy our highly experienced staff provide elite assessment, treatment and rehabilitation for many different conditions. Common treament modalities include acupuncture, massage, mobilisations, taping, Pilates, McKenzie therapy and exercise therapy. We can also provide detailed biomechanical assessment and pre-hab programmes aimed at athlete development and injury prevention. Our physiotherapists have extensive experience of sports physiotherapy, with our lead therapist having worked at both Olympic and Commonwealth games. We also continue to provide services to Scottish rugby, UK Athletics and elite local sports performance groups as well as providing advanced first aid cover at various local sporting events.

✨Meet the team✨

Bethany graduated with an MSc in Physiotherapy having previously completed a BSc (Hons) in Sport and Exercise Science. Bethany provides Pilates classes in Monikie on Wednesday mornings. She provides physiotherapy appointments across both of our David Lloyds and Strathmore RFC clinics as well as pitch side first aid for our local teams. She competed as a trampoline gymnast for 15 years representing Scotland in the Regional Team Finals competitions and currently plays netball in the local Dundee League. Bethany has a wealth of knowledge in sports psychology, strength and conditioning and injury rehabilitation. Alongside the work she does with us, Bethany also works independently with the Dundee Rockets Ice Hockey team providing injury rehab and first-aid cover.

✨Meet the team✨

Lauren graduated from Robert Gordon University in 2023 with an MSc in Physiotherapy. Lauren currently works out of Strathmore and David Lloyds where she supports a wide range of clients – from individuals recovering from injury or surgery to those managing long-term conditions or striving to improve their overall movement, strength, and function.
Additionally, she has worked as a physiotherapist at remote, multi-day ultra-endurance events in Jordan, Snowdon, and the Scottish Highlands, and has had the privilege of supporting the Armed Forces Para Snow Team over the past two years – providing care and performance support during both training and competition.

One of our students, Cambo delivered a Speed Training workshop to our physio team ⚡️

It was super interactive and informative — we all got stuck in, trying out the exercises and approaches ourselves.

The knowledge we’ve taken from this will help us better prepare our athletes to return to sport stronger, faster, and more confident 💪🏽

We actually had some of the team out at rugby games this weekend… not at inchmacoble surprisingly 😂
Eva was with the 1s at West of Scotland and actually saw the sun!!
Emma was with the 18s up in Aberdeen and Ruth was with the Caley U16 boys squad in Dundee.

Sports Massage 🏃💪🏻🏋️‍♀️

Sports massage is a hands-on treatment commonly used by active individuals, athletes, and those with physically demanding jobs. While it’s often associated with elite sport, sports massage can benefit anyone who experiences muscle tightness, is recovering from injury, or trains regularly.

Sports massage involves a range of manual techniques applied to muscles and surrounding soft tissues. These techniques may include deeper pressure, slower strokes, and targeted work through specific muscle groups. Unlike relaxation massage, sports massage is typically goal-focused, aiming to address areas of increased tension, overload, or restricted movement. It can be used both during injury rehabilitation and as part of ongoing recovery and performance management.

New Pilates Classes!!

Due to popular demand we're launching a few new pilates classes at Strathmore Rugby Club. These will all be suitable for beginners.

Tuesday 9:15am
Thursday 5:45pm
Friday 2:30pm (suitable for high school pupils from age 12)

Classes will start w/b 12th Jan for an initial 5 week block. Please get in touch to book you place!

Pilates T-Shirts!!

As promised, some photos of our new pilates t-shirts. We’re on quite a tight timescale for Christmas orders - they need to be in by lunchtime tomorrow to be back in time for Christmas. We can easily put in another order in the new year though so no pressure!! T-shirts are £14 each.

For an idea of size Ruth is modelling a ladies small which is just a wee bit too big for her!
