🤩❇️STAFF SPOTLIGHT!❇️🤩

We just wanted to introduce and acknowledge another one of our long serving Team Members, our lovely Karen!
She has actually been a Pharmacy Technician for over 18 years here at Troups!!

She is always busy working behind the scenes, making up our weekly dispensing packs for our community patients, who perhaps need that little bit of extra help with their medicines.
Karen also works closely alongside our delivery men and assists with the organisation and distribution that enables the smooth running and operation of all these medicine packs.

Every day Karen can be processing the patient discharges from hospitals, to dealing with the surgeries with setting up the pill packs, to even making last minute alterations when medicines are changed.
She also collects and delivers prescriptions from and to Carnoustie Medical Group every day!

She always maintains a level head and alongside Lynn they keep everything moving behind the scenes within the Pharmacy.

🌟The Staff Spotlight is on the deserved and valued Karen, as we admire her loyalty and dedication to Troup Pharmacy over all these years!
This commitment and work ethic, most certainly deserves our acknowledgement.

We have been offering this popular service to your local area over the past 4 years and once we collect & receive your prescription we dispense it on the same day!!

Their free peer-to-peer talking groups are there for any man 18+ who needs a safe, non-judgemental space to talk.

They run every Monday 7-9PM
(excluding bank holidays).

💚Adult Save a Life - Tuesday 11 November

Would you like to learn basic life saving skills, CPR and how to operate a defibrillator??

As a Community Outreach Instructor for RLSS UK, Lynn is running a FREE two-hour training session in basic life support for members of the public.
The session will be held in Carnoustie from 6.30pm to 8.30pm.

Being able to perform emergency life support, a set of actions needed to keep someone alive until professional help arrives, gives a casualty the best possible chance of survival.

When someone has a cardiac arrest, the clock starts ticking.
Every minute that passes without CPR and defibrillation reduces the chances of survival by up to 10%.

Courses are free-of-charge and no medical knowledge is required in order to undertake one.
It only takes two hours to learn the skills which may save a life and it is very likely that the person you help may be a family member or someone close to you.

The session covers:

• Caring for an unconscious person who is breathing

• Caring for an unconscious person who is not breathing and performing CPR

• Choking

• Drowning

• How to use a defibrillator

These Eco-Friendly Poppies were handmade by disabled Veterans at a factory in Edinburgh.
