Every month the GPs and staff at Castle Gate have appointments with more than 6,000 patients, answer more than 12,500 phone calls, dispense over 11,500 prescription items from our dispensary, process over 5,000 emails, letters and text messages and refer more than 600 patients for further investigations or treatment in secondary care. We all do our very best to ensure that this goes smoothly and without problems however sometimes things do not go as planned. If you have any concerns about the care that you have received, we encourage you to talk to someone at the practice directly.
We all come to work to help patients and to provide the best care possible, even when faced with reduced funding and increased pressures created as a result of situations beyond our control such as lengthy waiting times in secondary care. The people who work at your GP practice are people who live amongst you in your community. We ask everyone to engage with respect both online and in person. Online spaces are shared environments, and kindness goes a long way.
