Caroline Kinghorn Physiotherapy

Caroline Kinghorn Physiotherapy Caroline Kinghorn Physiotherapy is a private physiotherapy practice based in Montrose, Angus. Caroline Kinghorn BSc(Hons), MCSP, HCPC registered.

I qualified in 1994 with a BSc(Hons) Physiotherapy from Queen Margaret College, Edinburgh. I am a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists. I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. I have worked in the NHS for my entire career until 2020 when I decided to leave and focus on my business. In my NHS career I gained experience in many areas but chose to specialise in musculoskeletal issues. Latterly I worked as a first contact practitioner for part of my time in the NHS. I have also worked in Industry for 6 years dealing with musculoskeletal and occupational health issues. My assessment and treatment approach is to look at movement dysfunction and work with the patient to maximise their potential. I offer assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal problems, including sports injuries, back pain, neck pain, sprains, muscle strains, tendon problems, arthritis, Repetitive Strain Injury, Whiplash Associated Disorders, post operative orthopaedic surgery and post fracture rehabilitation. I also see ante-natal and post-natal patients. I have done training in running assessments and rehabilitation which is of particular interest to me. I work with various sports including Montrose Rugby Club and Roselea junior football club. I have recently undertaken training in strength and conditioning for therapists. Treatments that I can offer are exercise prescription; soft tissue massage/mobilisation; joint mobilisation; ultrasound, acupuncture, strapping, education and advice. I am trained in acupuncture for pain relief and chaired the acupuncture practice development group for Tayside. I am always updating my knowledge and continuing my professional development. Appointments are available at my home treatment room at 12 Bridge Street, Montrose, DD10 8AE and home visits can be arranged on request. Prices:
Initial assessment = £35.00
Follow up treatment = £30.00

𝗗𝗶𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝘄𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗿𝘂𝗻?

Walking is for everyone at parkrun, and parkwalk is here to prove it!

New to parkrun? Coming back after a break? Just looking for a relaxed way to get active? Whatever your reason, this is your moment. Join our biggest ever parkwalk on Saturday 26 April.

And don’t worry you’ll never finish last — we have a volunteer Tail Walker for that.

Happy new year!

I’m participating in the DoddieAid challenge for I think the 5th year in a row. Please consider signing up, you get a snood and a motivational boost to get more active at the start of the year. It only costs £20.00 with the money going to MND research.

At the tail end of last year my friend was diagnosed with it. He is rowing every day and posting a fact about MND each day. This is a grim one:

Today's factoid (Best we get this one out the way 👍)

Life expectancy? It is defined from the time of diagnosis, bearing in mind most people in hindsight can date their MND back to 1.5 years prior.

Out of 100%
30% will die before 1 year
50% by 2 years
leaving 20% to live between 2 to 10 years
However on the bright side a tiny proportion make it past 10 years. Ninewells currently has a gentleman who has been attending the MND clinic for 20 years. Keep going Sir, I take my hat of to you 👍

I just want to wish my clients past/present/future and page followers a very happy festive period.

I am now finished work and will return on January 6th 2025.

I would also like to extend my thanks to all my clients’ kindness over the last few weeks while I have been working and dealing with my own injury, sadly I’m not immune to them! Here is hoping some time off will see some improvement!

Thank you to all of you who use my services and support my business 😊
