Sensory Parties & Workshops for All Abilities. Many party activities and children's party entertainment sometimes unintentionally exclude children with special needs, such as bouncy castles, dance machines, and even magicians and entertainers with noisy music, loud microphones, and busy games. Sand Art is the exception to all of this, and an activity that every child (or adult) can enjoy equally.

Not just for Kids! Sand Art isn't just for children. An excellent tactile activity, it's brilliant for elderly people, those with dementia, or those recovering from Strokes. Could you talk to us about a workshop in your care home?

✨ Awards Day has arrived! ✨

We travelled down to Birmingham yesterday after school and are all checked into the hotel for the next 2 days ready for the Club Hub Awards 2026 💜

My husband did all the driving to get us here, which I’m very grateful for! 🚗

We’re staying near the Fort Dunlop shopping area, and the Uber is already booked for after breakfast this morning. ☕✨

My daughter is VERY excited for a bit of Birmingham shopping today 🛍️😂
My son… not quite as excited! 🤣

Feeling proud, nervous, grateful and very excited for today ahead. Looking forward to meeting so many amazing people from the children’s activity industry and celebrating everyone’s hard work. 🌈

Can children mix colours in sand art?

Yes — and this is where the creativity really begins.

Children can choose any colours they like when they decorate their picture. Some children enjoy following the colours they see in real life, while others love creating their own colourful patterns.

You might see a green dinosaur, a pink dolphin, or even a rainbow butterfly.

Because each section of the picture is filled one at a time, children can experiment with colours and make their artwork completely their own.

We ask children not to mix the sand in the bowls, so everyone can still enjoy all the bright colours. Mixing colours on their own picture is absolutely fine, though.

There is no right or wrong way to colour a sand art picture — which is why every finished design turns out unique. 🌈

After all the fear… we finally found support.

💙 I live with Neurofibromatosis Type 1 (NF1), and so do my children.

After the shock of diagnosis… and after Googling all the scary things you probably shouldn’t Google…

we were referred to Manchester Genetics.

That’s when things finally started to feel a little clearer.

We were also put in touch with the 💙 Childhood Tumour Trust 💚
A charity supporting children, young people and families affected by Neurofibromatosis Type 1.

Honestly, finding people who understood made such a difference.

I was told to Google it…

💙 I live with Neurofibromatosis Type 1 (NF1), a genetic condition—and so do my children.

The doctor wrote “Neurofibromatosis Type 1” on a piece of paper…
and told me to Google it.

No real explanation.
No support in that moment.

Honestly… it was terrifying.

If you’ve ever Googled medical symptoms before, you’ll know what happens…

You see the scariest things first.

And with Neurofibromatosis Type 1, there are some very serious complications that can happen.

As a mum hearing that for the first time… it was overwhelming.
