As we head towards the end of the month, it's a great time to check in with your body. Are there any niggles or feelings of tension that you've been ignoring? Don't wait for them to get louder. Booking a maintenance massage can be a proactive way to support your body's health and keep you feeling your best. I have a few appointments left for the first week of April.

Why is a consultation so important? Because it’s where your treatment truly begins. Before any hands-on work, we have a conversation. We talk about your lifestyle, your activity levels, and what you’ve been feeling in your body. This allows me to build a complete picture and tailor a session that is safe, effective, and completely personalised to you.

Do you have a scar that feels tight or restricted? ScarWork is a very gentle therapy that can be used to support the integration of scar tissue into the body's fascial web. The light, non-invasive techniques are designed to improve feeling and mobility in and around the scar area. It can be used on everything from old surgery scars to minor everyday scars. If you're curious to learn more, I'm happy to chat.

Feeling a bit of brain fog? Gentle movement can be a fantastic way to clear the cobwebs. A brisk walk in the fresh Morecambe air increases blood flow, which can help improve focus and lift your mood. It doesn't have to be a marathon session; even 15-20 minutes can have a positive effect. How are you getting active this week?

Let's talk about Craniosacral Therapy. It's a gentle, hands-on method of evaluating and enhancing the function of a physiological body system called the craniosacral system. Using a soft touch, generally no greater than 5 grams (about the weight of a 20p coin), I listen to the body's subtle rhythms. It’s a deeply relaxing experience that can help the body to release tension and encourage a sense of calm and well-being. ☎️ 07525 448771

Have you ever noticed how your mood and energy can shift with the seasons? March brings more daylight and the first hints of spring, which is a perfect time to refresh your routines. Adding a simple daily stretch or mindful movement can help you embrace these changes and prepare your body for more outdoor activity. Little changes now can set you up for a brighter, more active spring.

Did you know that your posture at your desk could be affecting more than just your back? Sitting for long periods can contribute to tension in the shoulders, neck, and even hips. A simple tip: set a timer to get up and stretch for one minute every half an hour. Roll your shoulders, stretch your arms overhead, and gently twist your torso. These small movements can make a big difference!

Is it time for a body MOT? Just like a car, our bodies can benefit from regular maintenance to keep everything running smoothly. A clinical massage session is an opportunity to check in, address areas of tension or restriction, and support your overall sense of physical well-being. My March diary is now open. Feel free to get in touch for a no-obligation chat about how a session could support you.

Hello March! 🌷 As we welcome the start of spring, you might be feeling inspired to get more active. Whether it’s gardening, long walks along the prom, or restarting a fitness routine, it’s a great time to reconnect with movement. Remember to ease into any new activity gently. Your body has been in winter mode, so warming up properly and listening to its signals is key. A supportive massage can be a wonderful way to complement your active goals and maintain your body’s well-being. ☎️ 07525 448771

Coming for the first time

Some people are very nervous meeting me for the first time, wondering what will happen during their appointment with me.

After contacting and discussing your aches, pains, ‘niggles’ or injury an appointment is made with me. If you are female you may need to wear a sports top and shorts for assessment and males may need shorts for lower body assessments.

Firstly, we sit down and we do some ‘paperwork’. This is for me to gather your general details such as name, address, occupation, GP surgery. We then go on to your presenting complaint.

I ask specific questions such as:-
