Welcome to February! As we navigate the chilly winds in Morecambe, you might notice your shoulders creeping up towards your ears without you even realising it.

When it’s cold, our natural instinct is to hunch up to preserve heat. Over time, this can lead to feelings of stiffness and tension in the neck and upper back.

This week, try to be mindful of your posture when you’re out and about. Drop your shoulders, take a deep breath, and wrap up warm with a scarf to keep those muscles happy. Clinical massage can also be a wonderful way to encourage those tight areas to let go and relax.

Ever wondered about the 'feel' of a clinical massage session with me? My approach is built on a foundation of gentle techniques.

It's not about forceful pressure. It’s about listening to your body's tissues and using a light, considered touch to encourage a sense of ease and improved mobility. This is especially true for methods like Myofascial Release and Craniosacral Therapy.

It’s a different, more subtle way of working that many clients find very effective.

As we near the end of January, how are those gentle intentions going?

Remember, consistency is more important than perfection. One extra walk, one more glass of water, one moment of quiet breathing - it all adds up.

Let's celebrate the small efforts. What's one positive thing you've done for your wellbeing this week?

Coming for the first time

Some people are very nervous meeting me for the first time, wondering what will happen during their appointment with me.

After contacting and discussing your aches, pains, ‘niggles’ or injury an appointment is made with me. If you are female you may need to wear a sports top and shorts for assessment and males may need shorts for lower body assessments.

Firstly, we sit down and we do some ‘paperwork’. This is for me to gather your general details such as name, address, occupation, GP surgery. We then go on to your presenting complaint.

I ask specific questions such as:-
