Yesterday marked the start of this year's Baby Loss Awareness week, where families and communities all over the UK come together to remember all the babies taken too soon, and to support those who have experienced this loss.

Having suffered the loss of his own baby son, at only 23 days old, James knows only too well how this feels.

There are several national charities who can give professional support and advice, but if you wanted to just talk to someone who has been through this, then please do feel free to give us a call or pop in and have a chat with James.

Be kind to yourself and remember you are not alone.

When you see a hearse on it's way to a funeral, please try to be courteous and drive past slowly, showing respect and kindness. It will only take a few seconds longer, but mean so much to the family, who are often part of the following cortege.

Nick Williams, of Windy Ridge, Longborough, passed away peacefully at home on the 17th September 2025, aged 71 years.
He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.

Eileen Herbert passed away peacefully on 16th September 2025, aged 85 years.

She was the beloved wife of the late John, much-loved mum of Terissa & Brian and an adored mother-in-law, nan and great-nan. She will be very sadly missed by all her family and friends.

We were delighted to have a couple of the lovely team from OSJCT Edwardstow Court in Stow visit us during the week. They were championing Alzheimer's Month, to help raise awareness of this devastating disease, and brought us some lovely forget-me-not pins.

They do lots of activities with their residents, and also hold lots of regular events, when anyone can attend.

They told us about their forthcoming "Cheese and Wine" evening, on Friday 10th October, from 6pm-8pm. What better way to start a weekend?

We will be going along to say hello, and nibble on some lovely cheese, so please do feel free to come and join us all.

What a week of different weather - sunshine and torrential rain!

Many thanks for those of you who braved the rain on Wednesday and came in to enjoy the cakes, tombola & raffle.

It is always lovely to see everyone chatting, eating cake, winning their prizes, and of course, saying hello to Badger!

You all managed to raise a fantastic £315.00 for Cotswold Friends, so a huge thank you from us and them.

Badger was so worn out afterwards, he couldn't even manage to finish eating his biscuits before nodding off!!

We look forward to seeing you all again for our next event - our very special "Mince Pies & Memories" one in December.
