As the year draws to a close, it’s common to think of the people who are special to us – especially those we've lost. That’s why we’ve chosen to take part in Light a Candle.

From 15 to 21 December we’ll be posting digital candles in memory of those who can’t be with us during the festive season. If you’d like to create a virtual candle, please click the following link where you can choose a design and write a short message to a loved one.

There's no cost for you or your family to get involved and create an online memorial.

We’re pleased to announce the return of Light a Candle this Christmas!

Taking part in this Christmas’s Light a Candle gives you the opportunity to create online memorials throughout the festive period.

Christmas is a special time to celebrate with family and friends, and our virtual candles are a thoughtful way to pay tribute to loved ones who are no longer with us.

We'll be sharing virtual candles on our page between 15 and 21 December. There's no cost for you or your family to get involved and create an online memorial.

Over the Christmas season you’re invited to write the name of a loved one on a star, which we will hang on our Christmas tree—each one adding its own gentle light to the branches. These are available at both the Moreton in Marsh and Chipping Campden Offices.

If you’d like to write them a letter instead, you can place it in our special letterbox. These letters are kept sealed; in time, they’ll be lovingly composted and returned to the earth to help nourish a future memory tree.

A soft place for remembrance, reflection, and love that continues.

A Private Cremation followed by a Memorial Service at St. James Church, Chipping Campden on Friday 9th January 2026 at 12 noon.

Loving Wife to Creag, devoted Mum to Katrina and Shona, a much-loved Grandmother to Ashley, Eleanor and Freya and a Friend to many. A Funeral Service will take place at Oakley Wood Crematorium (The North Chapel) on Wednesday 10th December 2025 at 12 noon.
