David Edwin Gibson of Moreton-in-Marsh, formerly of Stow-on-the-Wold passed away on 2nd July 2025, aged 86 years. David will be buried at Stow-on-the-Wold Town Cemetery on Friday 8th August at 1.30 pm followed by a Service of Thanksgiving at Campden Baptist Church at 3 pm. Family Flowers only. Donations for Good News for Everyone will be used for the purchase of Bibles, may be sent direct to sullivanfunerals.co.uk/donations.

Thank you to all the staff working as part of our team. When we work with a family from the initial contact, care of their loved one through to the funeral, including ensuring all uniform is beautifully presented, we have to work together to ensure we achieve the very best we can for them. We received these lovely words yesterday ......

Julie, Lewis and all their team were excellent at every stage of the process of registering the death and organising the funeral and burial of my uncle. They guided us through every aspect of the process with patience, kindness and professionalism, always ready to help and answer questions. The funeral was just what we wanted. I highly recommend them.

As we’ve come to the end of another week we would like to thank those who have chosen us to be their Funeral Director this week, and for those who face the uncertainty of bereavement, we will be there to guide you all the way.

Patricia Ann Druce ‘Ann’ of Stow-on-the-Wold died peacefully on 11th June 2025, aged 79 years. Devoted Mum to Carol, Graham, the Late Donald, Janet, Lorraine and Ian, a loving Nannie Annie, Sister and Friend. A Funeral Service will take place at Cheltenham Crematorium in the Oak Chapel on Friday 18th July 2025 at 11 am. Family Flowers only. Donations for Alzheimer’s Society may be left in the collection box or sent direct to sullivanfunerals.co.uk/donations. If you are unable to attend the Crematorium, you are warmly invited to join the family at Stow Social Club, Stow-on-the-Wold from 12.30 pm.

Diana Watson died suddenly on 22nd June 2025, aged 76 years. Devoted Wife to the late Peter, Mother and Grand-Mother. She will be sadly missed by her many family and friends. A Service of Thanksgiving will take place at St. Michael & All Angels, Great Wolford on Friday 25th July 2025 at 1 pm. No Flowers. Donations for Chipping Norton Riding For The Disabled Association, The Labrador Rescue Trust and The Birmingham Children’s Hospital may be left at the Church or sent direct to Sullivanfunerals.co.uk/donations.

Lewis and Julie had a wonderful day today at Somerset Willow Coffins. Learning about the history of the company, a tour of the skilled basket weavers area, followed by a tour of the farm where the willow is farmed. We are lucky enough to also have them at Moreton Show again this year, demonstrating how the coffins are made. Please feel free to call in if you'd like to know more about their products.

Thank you to Laura Crockett Celebrant for inviting me to take part in a podcast earlier today. It was great to be part of the training of new Celebrants and sharing good practices. Who knew we had a beautiful recording studio in the Cotswolds. Watch out for the podcast!

I chose Sullivans funeral directors on recommendation to guide us through the difficult process of arranging a dear friend's funeral. I really couldnt' have asked for a better service. Julie and Lewis were kind, empathetic , respectful and professional throughout. They went the extra mile to deal with all our, sometimes, obscure requests. Julie gently reminded us when decisions had to be made without any pressure. Her recommendation for Sarah-Jane as celebrant was perfect. On the day, the whole team made sure that the funeral went smoothly ensuring it was the experience that we had planned and made sure it was a fitting tribute.
