Ditch the negativity around labour and birth 💛

Don't let negative stories on TV, in the media or from other people determine how you feel about your pregnancy, labour and birth. It won't be the same anyway!

At TCBS we believe that practice is so important and that extends to the sentences that you and your birth partner may want to use in labour or at antenatal appointments. ⁠

Questioning people in perceived positions of authority can sometimes be intimidating so rehearsing some of the phrases and questions that you might want to use in labour can be brilliant preparation in making sure you feel informed and heard 👍⁠

These are some of the things you may hear during your pregnancy and labour but you don't have to consent to anything if it doesn't feel right for you.

Your care providers are there to advise, support and offer recommendations, but they cannot make decisions for you. It is your body and your baby.

Do your research, attend antenatal classes and know your options.
