🌍🎨 Celebrating World Art Day with Creativity 🎨🌍
One World Art Day, and over another couple of sessions, our residents came together for a truly special collaborative art project using recycled materials ♻️💛
The wonderful idea came from Rita, one of our residents, who spent many hours carefully preparing recycled pill pots and transforming them into beautiful sunflower shapes 🌻 Her dedication and creativity inspired everyone to get involved, turning everyday items into something bright, meaningful, and full of life.
The collage created is a celebration of art, sustainability, and community, and we are so proud. Thank you, Rita, for sharing your idea with us all!

🥁 The Power of the Beat 🥁
We turned up the rhythm and let the good vibes roll with our therapeutic drumming session led by the wonderful Nicki from Sentimental Journeys! 🎶✨
This fun-filled fitness session gave our residents the freedom to express themselves, get moving, and lose themselves in the beat. From gentle rhythms to full-on drum moments, there was laughter, energy, and plenty of Phil Collins–inspired enthusiasm all around! 🥁😄
Judging by the smiles (and the impressive rhythms!), we’ve got a few budding drumming legends in our midst. The beats were so good, we briefly considered entering Britain’s Got Talent… ⭐😉

🎉 A Crossword with a Twist – Happy Birthday, Pat! 🎂
Pat was happily enjoying his usual crossword session with his family when it was suddenly (and joyfully!) interrupted by a rousing rendition of Happy Birthday. 💐
Our staff popped in with a birthday card and a special gift, much to Pat’s surprise and delight.
It was a lovely moment full of smiles, laughter, and celebration. We hope you had a truly wonderful birthday, Pat! 🎈🎁

✨ Show & Tell: Our Stories, Our Memories ✨
We shared a very special Show & Tell session, created by our residents for our residents 💛
Our amazing volunteers gave their time to share their cherished memories, meaningful moments, and life stories—from childhood adventures to proud achievements and everything in between. They bravely and kindly shared these stories with the rest of the group using homemade posters, sparking smiles, laughter, reflection, and connection.
It was a truly heart‑warming session that reminded us all that every life is full of stories worth telling—and listening to 🥰
A huge thank you to everyone who took part and helped make this such a memorable and meaningful experience. 🌟

The residents were able to don their sunhats and shades as we headed out on a lovely trip to Lower Clopton Farm Shop Café to sample the delights they had to offer. 🌞☕🍰
We were greeted at the entrance by a big bale Easter Bunny, and out in the paddock we spotted spring lambs basking happily in the sunshine. 🐰🐑
The delicious selection of cakes proved to be a real treat, and the café’s excellent accessibility meant we could enjoy a wander through the farm shop to browse all the tempting goodies on offer. Several purchases later, we climbed back aboard the Hedgehog bus for a pleasant drive home, admiring the rolling countryside in all its spring glory. 🌼🚌

🐣 Beavers’ Crafty Egg Hunt 🐣
We were blessed with a perfect, sunny day as the Morton Beavers joined us for an Easter‑themed craft session and egg hunt. 🌞🎨🥚
Our residents had lovingly hand‑woven baskets, which proved absolutely perfect for collecting eggs during the hunt afterwards. It was a joy to see the Beavers exploring the garden, baskets in hand, and sharing such a fun, creative afternoon together.
A wonderful afternoon full of smiles, sunshine, and Easter cheer! 🌷💛

🎉 Yay, It’s Graham’s Birthday! 🎉
Today we’re celebrating Graham, who’s enjoying his special day in the best way possible — resting comfortably in bed, relaxing, and soaking up the love from his visiting friends. 💛
He’s been absolutely spoiled with boxes and boxes of chocolate (no complaints from him! 🍫😄) and has spent the day treating himself and sharing laughs with everyone who popped in to say hello.
Here’s to a peaceful, chocolate-filled birthday for a lovely gentleman.

🌼 Weaving Superstars in Finger Gym! 🧺✨
During the Easter holidays, our Moreton Beaver Scout group will be joining us for a lovely intergenerational craft session followed by an Easter egg hunt around the garden. 🐣🌿
Our residents decided they wanted to do something special for the Beavers — so this week in Finger Gym, they worked together to make hand‑woven Easter baskets for the children to use on their egg hunt. 💛
Using paper plates cut into weaving templates, our residents carefully threaded colourful wool in and out, creating beautiful little baskets ready to be filled with treats. 🧵👐
We can’t wait to welcome the Beavers and share a day full of creativity, connection, and Easter fun! 🌟🐰

🤡❤️ We Are Doing Something Funny for Money! ❤️🤡
Happy Red Nose Day from everyone at Esmere Gardens!
Today, staff and residents are proudly wearing their red noses — just for a bit of silliness and a whole lot of fun! 🤭🔴
Our main activity of the day is a Funny for Money True or False Quiz!
For every question we get right, the quizmaster is donating £1 to support this amazing cause. 💰✨
There’s laughter, learning, and plenty of red nose giggles happening here today — all to help make a difference.
