You’ll see for the last year or so ‘1ml lip filler’ isn’t on my treatment list. That’s because none of my augmentations go anywhere near this amount.

‘0.5ml lip filler’ will be what’s listed but again, rarely do I use this. 0.3ml is my sweet spot depending on the patient and their anatomy. Treatment is always bespoke to you and your anatomy always respected.

Natural lip augmentation using Outline. Tiny, tiny amounts in the right place make all the difference. More balanced, more upturn, gentle definition and subtle volume. No ledge, no rubber looking lips. Nobody would know you’ve had any filler bar me, you (and anyone that sees this post!)

Unpopular opinion.. but one that will serve you better in the long run..

As I see more and more people go from beautiful to filled puff ball in a matter of 12 months (not my patients), I feel like it’s my duty to let you know that the money making scam of ‘needing filler every 6-12 months’ is just that - a scam to make money.

I won’t let this ever happen to my patients. Your face is my priority. Even though you might dislike me for constantly saying no, it’s always for your benefit, not mine.

Lip filler isn’t always straight forward. This looks pretty simple from the front, right? The patient has never had any filler. How tricky can it be? But assessing the occlusion and skeletal pattern (something dentists will always do) is SO essential.

What I see:
- Class two malocclusion (upper teeth are way in front of the bottom teeth). This gives the appearance of a full and protruding upper lip and a retracted, unsupported bottom lip - swipe to see this clearer.
- Slight m shape to upper lip so the middle tubercle is very full and requires zero filler in this area. Lateral areas could be supported with filler.
- Narrow lips compared to rest of face.
- Chin is lacking support (and is a treatment discussed with the patient - one for next time).

A very carefully planned approach of placing 0.4ml in the lower lip to give more support and improve upper:lower lip ratio was the main goal here. Just 0.025ml was then used laterally on each side of the upper lip to improve the m shape. Bar that, no more filler is needed here, especially not centrally.

I believe in a well planned, bespoke treatment for each patient. Filler is absolutely not a one size fits all. It’s working with patient concerns and assessing the area with consideration to the whole face and from all angles, not in isolation.
