Deep Tissue Sports Massage works deeply to relieve chronic pain, restore natural movement, improve flexibility, and support your body’s natural healing process after injury. Deep Tissue Sports Massage can help those with chronic pain, increase range of movement and muscle flexibility and help those with injuries. Sports Massage can also reduce the chance of getting injured through proper stretching of the muscles using certain techniques, and can shorten recovery time between exercise or training. Whether you are a keen gardener, enjoy walking, running or cycling in your spare time, compete at an amateur level or are just in need of a deeper massage, Sports Massage can really benefit YOU. The first appointment will include a consultation so will make up 10mins of your treatment time.

15 minute appointments are available on request for those who require a quick treatment before or after an event.

✨A massage does a lot for your body.

But sometimes the most powerful part of the hour is everything else that happens in it.

This is what I mean when I say you get more than a massage here 😊

This is why I do what I do 🙏

Beyond grateful for the kind words and the trust my clients place in me 💚

I’m fully booked for the next few weeks, with only a handful of spaces left in April, I feel so lucky 🍀

Thank you to my amazing clients for keeping me busy, and to my wider community for the love, support, likes, shares and comments. I appreciate it all ✨

Happy Friday folks ✨

Your body responds to what you do consistently. Not occasionally.

Little reminder as you head into the weekend, the small things you repeat matter more than the big things you do once.

In all seriousness though…therapists need therapists too.

Self-care isn’t optional when you use your body for a living.

Recovery is part of the job.

I feel really lucky to have found two therapists who look after me.

Who’s looking after YOU?

A little note on how I work 💚

My background is in sports and deep tissue massage, and I still offer strong, effective work when it’s needed/wanted 😊

Over the years though, I’ve evolved, all down to my own nervous system work over the last few years. Massage, reiki, sound baths, walks in nature, deep chats with friends, grounding, breathing and a lot of learning (still learning) through books and podcasts all helped me through a challenging few years.

Alongside that, I started paying closer attention to the basics: cleaning up my diet, water💧 simplifying what I put on and in my body, discovered fasting through a client, and reducing everyday toxins where I could. Nothing extreme (although listing it all out does sound extreme 😉) just small, consistent changes that supported my system rather than stressing it further.

That lived experience shapes how I work now. I support not just muscles, but the nervous system too, helping the body feel safe enough to actually let go.

Every session is different. Sometimes deep and specific, sometimes slower and more settling, I am guided by what your body needs on the day 🤗

If you’re looking for a massage that helps you move better, feel better, and breathe again, you’re in the right place.

Welcome, with love
Shan ✨

✨ Merry Christmas & Big Love From Me to You ✨

As we start wrapping up the year, I just wanted to say the biggest thank you to every single one of you, my incredible clients, those who share my posts, send kind messages, cheer me on, and trust me with your bodies, your stories, and your wellbeing!!

My little business is officially fully booked for the rest of the year, and honestly…WOW. What a bloody privilege. I’m so lucky I get to spend my days helping people feel lighter, looser and calmer. Whether that’s through touch, an awesome chat, or just holding space so you feel seen, heard, and supported.

Your loyalty and love keep this whole thing going. Your word-of-mouth keeps my doors open. And your presence makes my work feel meaningful every single way.

Thank you for choosing me. Thank you for trusting me.

Here’s to rest, warmth, magic, and everything your body is whispering for this season 🎄

With love,
Shan

Confessions of a massage therapist.

I help people look after their bodies, but do I always follow my own advice? Absolutely not.

So in the spirit of keeping it real, here’s me being honest:

✨I drink coffee like it’s water and fully pretend that it counts ☕️

✨I know how to fix glute pain and still forget to switch my own glutes on when I’m working out 🍑

✨I tell people to rest after their treatment, then spend my “rest day” cleaning the house or pottering in the kitchen like a woman possessed 🧑‍🍳

✨I recommend regular massages but only book myself in once I’m already falling apart 💆🏼‍♀️

✨I talk about mindful movement and then trip over my own feet for absolutely no reason at all 🦶

✨I preach body awareness but still manage to misplace my water bottle/lip balm a million times a day 🧘‍♀️

✨I recommend magnesium every night, yet only remember mine once I’m already tucked up and comfy in bed 💊

✨ I tell clients to breathe deeply, while realising I’ve been holding my own breath for a minute 😮‍💨

A therapist who keeps it real. Always.

Side note: snapped this at during a cold dip the other day. Glorious.

The truth about sports massage (that most people don’t realise)

Most people think sports massage has to be painful, all elbows, pressure and “no pain no gain.” Or that it’s just about “loosening tight muscles” or “flushing out lactic acid.”
But that’s not really how it works 👇

🧠 1. Your brain controls tightness
Tight muscles are your nervous system trying to protect you.
Massage helps calm that signal so your body feels safe to move again.

💡 2. It doesn’t “flush out” lactic acid
That old myth can go now.
Your body clears lactic acid naturally within about an hour of exercise.
Massage helps blood flow and nutrient delivery instead thus supporting repair.

💥 3. Those “knots”? They’re tiny muscle spasms.
Little areas where the muscle’s basically gone into a mini cramp and feels solid or sore to touch.
Massage helps calm that spasm, get blood moving again, & remind the muscle it can relax.

🌿 4. It supports your immune & stress systems
Massage lowers stress hormones like cortisol
and activates your parasympathetic system, the one in charge of rest, recovery & healing.

⚡️ 5. It’s not just recovery, it’s a body reset
Regular massage helps your brain, nerves & muscles talk better.
You move easier, recover faster & feel more balanced overall.

Sports massage is NOT just for athletes.
For anyone who wants to feel at home in their body again.

⭐️ Most of my clients don’t wait for pain anymore, they’ve found what works for them!
Every few weeks, they pop in before the niggles start.

A bit of consistency really does work!

💆🏼‍♀️ Massage keeps things loose, light, and moving as it should…before your body starts shouting, “oi, remember me?”

🗓️ Every 4 weeks, a bit of maintenance! A small investment now for a body that still moves well later.

✨ Gift Vouchers ✨

Stuck for pressie ideas? Here’s one that always goes down well, and it doesn’t involve panic-buying rubbish last minute 😉

⭐️ Great for…

🌀Birthdays, anniversaries or Christmas
🌀Sleep-deprived new parents
🌀A friend who could use a reminder to slow down
🌀Or just because they deserve a bit of love

📨 Vouchers are ready to go, you can choose any amount, whether that’s enough for the full treatment or a little boost towards one. They start from £10.

💫 It’s an easy, thoughtful way to give someone a breather, a reset, and a bit of proper care. (And let’s be honest… who wouldn’t want that?)
