Losing a child and dealing with it

It’s impossible to explain this feeling of being lost to others. A child is the reason we get up in the morning and make a thousand different sacrifices of love each day. When that child is no longer here we instantly feel like an empty shell. We’re a mere shadow of who we used to be and it takes a long, long time to find our way back to life again.
