International Stress Awareness Week 1-5 November 2021

Stress is the body's reaction to feeling threatened or under pressure. It's very common, can be motivating to help us achieve things in our daily life, and can help us meet the demands of home, work and family life.
But too much stress can affect our mood, our body and our relationships – especially when it feels out of our control. It can make us feel anxious and irritable and affect our self-esteem.
Experiencing a lot of stress over a long period of time can also lead to a feeling of physical, mental and emotional exhaustion, often called burnout.

Take care of yourselves, invest in yourselves and talk to others.

I firmly believe we will all get through this, and as a result we will all have the opportunity to really appreciate the wonderful things life has to offer.
We can come out as better versions of ourselves. In the meantime I believe we need to talk to each other and most of all show understanding and compassion.

Christmas rapidly approaching. For many a time of great joy and celebration, but for many it just exacerbates those already present negative emotions.
It can be a time when we feel most isolated and lonely, a time when we remember those we have lost or who are simply not with us at the moment.
For many the pressures are hidden, masked by the hat and silly jumper, when inside we feel the anxiety swelling.......how am I going to pay for this, how am I going to deal with this family conflict and why do I feel that I need to ???
