ℹ️ The way people access healthcare is evolving. We're therefore changing our opening times to better serve our patients and safeguard our local pharmacy. From Wednesday 4th June, we'll be open from 09:00 to 18:00 on weekdays, and still open 09:00 to 13:00 on Saturdays.

💊 We're continuing to provide all of our pharmacy services, with the same friendly staff taking care of you. We can provide free prescription delivery to local patients, and we're always here for you with our 24/7 prescription collection point.

💙 Adjusting our opening times allows us to continue providing our high quality services, to focus on further innovation, and safeguard our position as your friendly, local, independent community pharmacy.

Greg, one of our fantastic delivery drivers, had his last shift with us yesterday, and is getting ready to enjoy a well-deserved retirement.

Always wearing a friendly smile, Greg has been with us for nearly 8 years and in that time has made a fantastic difference for our patients, even winning 'Delivery Driver of the Year' award from the local pharmaceutical committee, for his caring nature and helping to safeguard some of our older patients.

We hope you have a wonderful, restful retirement Greg, and do keep us informed of your adventures! Thank you so much again for your dedication, hard work and care! 🚚

💉Pop in and get Vaccinated!
We're open today 09:00 - 13:00 (Sat 19th April) for walk-in COVID-19 Spring Booster Vaccinations. Feel free to simply pop in if you're eligible, and we'll be able to provide your vaccination quickly and safely in our local community pharmacy. Ages 18+.

ℹ️ We're now providing walk-in vaccinations every weekday (excluding Bank Holidays) and some weekends at our pharmacy, throughout April and May. Find our clinic dates and times at www.wellwaycentral.co.uk/vaccinations, or give us a call on 01670 510 005 to confirm availability.

ℹ️ We’re aware of some issues with our 24-hour collection point for those who need to select a prescription exemption when accessing your medicines from us.

We escalated this issue with the 24-hour collection point technical team as soon as we were aware of it, and we are reassured they are working on a solution at pace, after further conversations today.

If you need to select an exemption for your items when collecting, and a wrong option is chosen, please continue with this option in order to access your medication. Please let us know if the incorrect option is chosen by dropping us an email at morpeth@wellwaycentral.co.uk, and we’ll ensure this is resolved. We’ll aim to double-check any exemptions we aren’t sure are correct.

🐣 Our pharmacy has slightly different opening times over the Easter Bank Holiday Weekend. We're closed on Good Friday, and are open reduced hours of 14:00 to 17:00 on Easter Monday.

ℹ️ Tax Credits are ending on the 5th April 2025. This means patients who hold a tax credit exemption certificate will no longer receive automatic entitlement to free NHS prescriptions after this date.

If you're moved to Universal Credit, check if you're still eligible for support before claiming free NHS prescriptions 👉 www.nhsbsa.nhs.uk/check

Please remember, when claiming free NHS prescriptions it is your responsibility to ensure you're claiming correctly. If you claim free NHS prescriptions when you're not entitled, you could receive a penalty charge.

🏦 If you have to pay for your NHS prescriptions, a prescription prepayment certificate (PPC) could help you save money. A PPC covers all NHS prescriptions for a set price. You'll save money if you need more than 3 items in 3 months, or 11 items in 12 months. 💊 Come and visit our Pharmacy First - we can provide a range of treatments from our expert pharmacists, without an appointment. The service is free - you will only need to pay a prescription fee if you receive any treatment, and usually pay for your NHS prescriptions.

We treat these key conditions: Sinusitis, Sore throat, Earache, Infected insect bites, Impetigo, Shingles and UTIs in Women. You may be able to access some prescription medicine, if needed.

You can access the service in a number of ways. You can simply walk-in to our pharmacy and we'll always aim to see you within 15 minutes. You can always give us a call, and we will be able to triage you and advise if we can provide treatment, or refer you elsewhere. You may also be referred to us by your GP Surgery, or NHS 111.
