MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST/DISPENSER
Permanent (Hour's negotiable)
Scots Gap Medical Group are looking for a confident, enthusiastic team player to join us as medical receptionist.
You will be the first point of contact to both patients and other stakeholders, so good communication skills are essential. Your professional manner will demonstrate the high standards of the practice and the quality of care that is given at Scots Gap Medical Group.
Hours of work will vary between 8.15am - 6.30pm Monday - Friday. The post holder will be required to work flexibly across both practices as required.

Obesity Injections, Tirzepatide (Mounjaro)

A pathway is being developed in our ICB area (Northeast and North Cumbria) for the delivery of weight loss injections. We currently do not have a contract for delivering this at Scots Gap Medical Group. As soon as we are in a position to offer the treatment, we will update this notice.
To be eligible for the NHS injection a patient must have a BMI ≥40 and 4 out of the following 5 conditions.:
• Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease – IHD, CVA/TIA, PAD, HF
• Hypertension – On treatment
• High Cholesterol – On Lipid Lowering Therapy (or LDL >=4.1 or HDL

✈ Travel Clinic – now open in Hexham ✈
Hadrian Primary Care Alliance, our GP Federation in West Northumberland, has recently partnered with Masta Travel Vaccination Clinics to provide a service at Hexham Primary Care Centre on a Saturday. Please note, this is a private clinic but does mean that travel vaccinations you may previously have had to travel out of the area to receive will now be available locally.
Appointments are bookable via the ‘Find a Clinic’ link on the Masta website: https://www.masta-travel-health.com/ClinicDetails/611 You will need to book an appointment for the initial travel consultation (provided over the phone by a Masta Nurse) as well as the appointment at Hexham, when you will be given any recommended vaccines for your travel plans.
During the initial travel consultation, the MASTA Nurse will advise you of the necessary advice and vaccinations for the destination you are travelling to. They will also let you know if any of the vaccinations are available free on the NHS, and will provide you with a Masta travel recommendation summary (Diphtheria, Tetanus and Polio (combined DTP booster), Typhoid and Hepatitis A).
Please contact the surgery to book any NHS vaccinations you may need and bring your Masta information summary with you. We will try to accommodate you in an appointment with our practice nurse but please be aware that if we are unable to schedule something before you go away you may need to get these done on a private basis within the Masta clinic at Hexham.
Please note any vaccines you go on to have at your clinic appointment in Hexham will be chargeable, including those available on the NHS. It is therefore advisable to book your travel consultation with Masta with sufficient time to allow for the booking of any vaccines available on the NHS at the practice.

Cleaner Required for Scots Gap Medical Group

• Monday - Friday hours varied between 15.00-18.30.
8 hours per week
Key holder position.
We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced cleaner to be a part of our small team. This position would be great for someone who is looking to top up their current hours or wanting to return to part time work.
Ideally, we are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and flexible member of staff who can commit to the same hours daily.
Experience working in a clinical environment to CQC standards would be an advantage, but full training will be provided. You must be able to work on your own. Driving Licence may be an advantage given location of surgery but not essential if you live locally.
