Brinkburn Northumberland has three unique wedding offers for both religious and civil ceremonies in the 12th century Brinkburn Priory, manor house and grade 2 listed stable block. Set in a secluded wooded ravine on the banks of the river Coquet, Brinkburn Northumberland’s six luxury holiday cottages are the perfect home away from home and the ideal escape for couples as well as larger groups. Fulfilled customers combined with weddings which span three days set us apart from our competitors. Our venue can also be hired for wellness retreats, workshops and corporate events. I’m Celebrant Jessica.
Resident Celebrant at Brinkburn.

What’s a Celebrant?

Ah! I’m glad you asked.

A celebrant is a professional (like me!) who creates and leads personalised ceremonies for life events – like weddings.

A celebrant-led ceremony is a flexible, non-religious alternative to traditional ceremonies led by a priest or a registrar.

As a celebrant, I focus on your individual stories, beliefs, and wishes. Together, we craft a unique and meaningful ceremony for your wedding with custom vows, readings, and rituals.

A separate legal registration is required for marriage (at the moment but there is a reform happening – so fingers crossed I will be able to legally marry you soon), but we can discuss that – and anything else – whenever you like.

I’m at Brinkburn weekly, and almost always at Brinkburn Wedding Open Days too. You’ll find all dates for Wedding Open Days at The Brinkburn Times.
