I am back from my holiday this week and will be back in clinic from Tuesday 👣

It’s safe to say that Chilli’s little toe beans are tired from all the running on the sandy beaches ❤️❤️

Talking of holidays…… we are booked solid for 5 weeks currently with one space available on the 22nd of May and then scattered spaces the last week in May and then we are into the extremely busy period of June so please don’t wait to book an appointment if you are extremely lucky to be flying out to sunny destinations though I think we can all agree Findhorn beach could rival anywhere else minus the wind chill 🥶

Another week complete at Holytown and today we had our little mascot in who loved a day at work she had all the naps and treats and supported the lovely pods on their final work day of the week, she even tried to help them with their lunch because she is just so hard working 😂😂😂

We are currently booked up for the next 4 weeks so this is our plea……

Happy birthday to us!!!!

I for one did not forget about this at all and was not reminded by my Facebook memories 👀👀👀👀😬

The last year has been quite the adventure for the clinic! We’ve had a makeover, and lots of changes have happened, including the arrival of our new ‘paw-diatrist ’, Chilli. She’s now working with me, but she’s kept in her cosy, quiet space. If you see me looking a bit frazzled, it’s probably because she’s decided those lovely ears are just for show.

We’ve also introduced some new treatments, like Faulkner’s needling, and Lindsay Ann is back in private practice, bringing a treasure trove of knowledge and laughter to the clinic, especially on Fridays when we’re both there and have the best chats with the patients.

Fridays now include cake, which keep the pods working to the highest standard.

Both podiatrists have been doing some fantastic CPD and are excited to share it with our patients.

So, what exciting things are in store for the next year?

Diabetic Foot Assessment – One-Off Appointment

This appointment is designed specifically for people living with diabetes who would like a thorough, proactive assessment of their foot health, even if they are not currently experiencing problems.
The assessment focuses on early detection, education, and prevention helping to reduce the risk of future complications.

What’s included:

👣 Full diabetic foot assessment
👣 Circulation check (vascular assessment) using both doppler and Kardia
👣 Nerve sensation testing (neuropathy screening)
👣 Skin and nail health assessment
👣 Identification of risk level in line with diabetic foot guidelines
👣 Footwear and pressure-area advice
👣 Personalised foot care education
👣 Written patient information / literature to take home
👣 A written summary report of findings given to both the patient and sent to the GP.

This appointment does not include routine nail cutting or callus reduction. If treatment is required, this will be discussed and arranged separately.
