“Grief is simply love with no place to go.” 💚

It’s a quote many people connect with, especially after losing someone important to them. For some, grief feels like sadness. For others, it feels like love, longing, anger, gratitude, or simply missing someone every single day.

Whatever grief looks like for you, please remember that you do not have to carry it alone 💚

Saturday marked the homecoming of Nan and Tommy Campbell. ❤️

Having travelled from America with their ashes, the family gathered together for a memorial service here at Holytown to honour and celebrate their lives, their love, and the memories they leave behind.

After the service, Nan and Tommy made their final journey to Inveraray, where they were laid to rest together in peace.

No matter how far life took them, Scotland was always home — and now they are finally home together once more.

Forever loved and forever remembered by all their family and friends. 🤍

We were honoured to support the Campbell family with such a special occasion.

Sometimes, the people who help us most during difficult times are the ones who simply show up 💚

The friend who checks in.
The family member who listens.
The colleague who notices when things don’t feel okay.
The professional who offers support and guidance.
The person who sits beside us when we don’t have the words.

This Mental Health Awareness Week, we’d love to shine a light on those people too.

If there’s someone who has supported you, given advice, listened without judgement, or simply been there when you needed them most, tag them below and let them know how much it meant.

A small thank you can mean the world 💚

Today marks the start of Mental Health Awareness Week 💚

Grief can change everything. It can affect how we think, sleep, work, socialise and cope with everyday life. No two people experience it in the same way. Some people talk openly about how they’re feeling. Others carry it quietly. Some feel supported, while others can feel incredibly alone, even when surrounded by people.

One thing that matters so much during those difficult moments is knowing there is someone to turn to. Whether that’s a friend, a family member, or a professional support service, having someone listen without judgement can make the weight of grief feel a little less heavy.

Please share this post and if you know someone who may be struggling, send them these details. A simple conversation or connection could make all the difference 💚

As part of ongoing efforts to open up conversations around dying, death and bereavement, grief education is being introduced into the Relationships, S*x and Health Education (RSHE) curriculum in England from September 2026.

It’s a positive step towards helping young people better understand and navigate feelings around loss, change and bereavement.

By building awareness from an early age, we can help normalise these discussions, reduce stigma, and give future generations the confidence to express and manage their emotions.

As we continue marking alongside Hospice UK, it’s a reminder that talking about grief, at any age, can make a real difference.

💬 What are your thoughts on introducing conversations about grief earlier in life?

Today, as many celebrate the 100th birthday of David Attenborough, we are reminded of the importance of the natural world that surrounds us every day.

We are privileged to care for beautiful grounds filled with wildlife, trees and changing seasons - peaceful spaces that bring comfort, reflection and connection for so many families.

It feels only right today to recognise someone who has inspired generations to appreciate, protect, and find wonder in nature.

Happy 100th Birthday, Sir David and thank you for helping the world see the beauty in the world around us 🌿
